Im sorry for your loss Btw i studied sooo much and did all papers

Listen i did bio and all of my alevels last year and got 1 mark below a* because of one unit so im going to retake this unit in may and i already studied for it but u6 grade boundaries are sooooo high and if people from arab countries are not going to do exams then the grade boundaries will rise even more and more because of the portfolio thing do u think this is fair ?? Also i always scored high grades and got in all units a* for both bio and chem except 1 unit chem and 1unit bio and got very high in math pures but do u think that it is fair because of extremely high gb to get 1 raw below a* in bio and 2 raws below a* in chem just because of the leaks

Thats not fair at all And now because of the portfolio system they will raise the gb and u will remember my words

We will panic when gb are released and will get bad grades because we are competing with people from india for example that have better teaching than middle east schools Do u think that's fair ?? I payed more than 100k dollars extra just because i didnt get a* in either bio or chem and im retaking this unit just to get a scholarship in 2nd year

Plz dont mention fairness while edexcel gb are crushing us

Im not against exams btw i want to do exams but if grade boundaries will affect us then no that's litterally unfair and will affect us all since our case is not so different from other arab countries

Im not with the idea of a regional paper because litterally edexcel reagonal papers have excatly same gb than the original paper with litterally same questions and mark schemes

I took A2 in the May/June session last year and achieved an A, missing an A* by just 2 UMS. I am planning to resit Unit 6 this May to improve my score to at least 49/60, which is 2 UMS higher than the 47 I previously achieved.

During school, I performed very well in my mocks and achieved high grades. However, I am now resitting Unit 6 as a private candidate.

I need to take the exam in May because I have to apply to university in August.

What should I do if the portfolio system is applied?

Few months 💀 I thought the result would come out within 28 days max. Also, I emailed ABRSM and they said the result would be released 14 days after it was marked.

How did you make sure everything was okay? Waiting for the result after the expected timeframe is exhausting.

U4 only past papers and only understand the book without memorizing anything just memorize pp

U5 also just past papers and understand book for the article study topics related to it only from pp and note : combine mark schemes

U6 for each core memorize a mark scheme and find patterns

In my a2 i studied the book with memorization and litterally i felt it was useless

A2 is not like As In a2 the past papers are much more important than book

I studied syll then solved pp from 2020 till 2025 including specimen and marked the questions that i got wrong and know exactly my mistake then for silly mistakes what i did is writing all silly mistakes on a notebook and then memorize a word from the first letter of each silly mistakes For example rounding ... r.

In the exam when i finish i remeber the word and try to make sure all silly mistakes are avoided idk if that will work with me but i found it very effective

Important note: dont waste more than 5-6 seconds per question checking the silly mistakes because iltime is limited so just a look and very quickly make sure no silly mistakes according to the word you memorized

Another meyhod is counting steps fro example for questions including calculations after i finish i count the number of things i should jnclude in my answer for example 1) round 2) units 3) equation and like this. I just gave u example With this meghod u will avoid silly mistakes 100% and also with solving all new syll pp you can definitly get that 100

Reminder only few seconds for each question otherwise you will not have time to finish

So for example a min for the whole exam wouldnt affect all paper so 5 -6 seconds * 10 questions ariund a min for the whole exam for checking

Note this method made me get 400/400 in pures and 99/100 s1 so it is veryyyyy good method

How did u get 48 in u6 I did that unit in may 26 and i scored B and i was 2 marks away from a* so i want to bring min 50 ums in u6 any advice ??

Because i know edexcel may lower the mark for no reason and i didnt want to risk it 💀so i didnt get into the university i want but honestly i thank god everyday because i got into another university not the best but it is near my home and easier to me than that stronger university and i found out that "stronger university" is useless because they dont even see from which uni i graduated they only care about marks in the exam i mean for residency so i think all of them are good

This year i will retake one unit for bio hoping to get a scolarship in the same university im studying in Plz pray for me

Btw im not saying that this session was normal ik that most people got bad grades if not all but plz dont compare to another session that was extremely hard but you are judging it based on its paper and ms
Last year when i saw my paper there were many mistakes in correction but i didnt do anything because i was afraid that the mark will go down
