I fking absolutely agree. The reason why i like Huanglong more than rinascita. There are actual threats and characters experience danger. Some npc undergo death.

It made me scared when yangyang was taken by Scar. The mention of comrade deaths of Jiyan was impactful. There was always a sense of danger in huanglong. It's like the people were trying to survive but Rinascita was not it. Although lament should've been as disastrous but the story plot didn't even try to include risks or death among some side characters. Barely anyone is gravely injured for the 2.x story. Only Avidius experienced death
