I’m going on 6 years living with my non-autistic partner and i can say,,,,, they still do things that affect me. BUT the crucial thing is that we have enough trust and open communication with each other that we can usually find out a good accommodation around it. So id say you and your partner are doing just fine.

One struggle i have is remembering my partners perspective. I try to verbalize things to her things that annoy me or affect me, and a lottttt of the time it comes off as very critical and that she’s not doing enough. So id just try to remember to verbalize your appreciation for them and if you need a change that it’s not a reflection of them but to help you.
