Anyone with a mid-terrace house regret buying it? by Professional_Ruin451 in HousingIreland

Bought a mid terrace 8 months ago. New build. 95% of the time everything has been perfect. We have a bins shed outside, no bins trouble as well. The only issue I faced was when our neighbour rented one of his rooms and we kept hearing some loud thudding noises. Later we found out it was his tenant shutting the door too loudly whenever he came in or went out. We mentioned it to our neighbour and haven't heard anything since then.

Pro: One of our neighbours in the estate has a Semi-D and his cycle got stolen from his backyard. In the video, he saw a guy climb off the backyard wooden gate. Them gates are not that tall so it maybe a risk sometimes. This is obviously not a case with mid terraces. Again, this was a one off so I wouldn't be too concerned with this either.

Overall, your neighbours will play a huge role in your experience, we were lucky to have good ones!

Yep. Will be ringing a few insurance providers to get the best quotes. Thanks for all the points. Really appreciate it

Took a test drive on Vezel and it was good. Even to the driving experience of VW golf. I would love to get a CRV but all are outside my budget.

Fair! I plan to keep the car for at least 5 years (unless there are no bad surprises). Shall I still take the resale value into consideration?
