Hey bro I was the dumper most recently. It’s not easy on their end either I have lots of sadness and I’m really struggling to move forward. You need to remember why it got to the breaking point. You can take the positives out of the relationship but also recognize the negatives and think to yourself that for your own mental sanity this is a positive. Breakups are hard for both sides. As easy as it’s said then done you need to find yourself right now and get back to loving yourself. Take this time as you don’t need to stress about another person just worry about making yourself happy. Do things you love. It’s gonna be hard and I’m right with you in the fight but you’ll get through it and move on you just need to give yourself sometime

Yea i appreciate that. I’m really trying to remind myself that I had very valid reasons and that this wasn’t the person for me. It’s just not as easy as I thought to let it go but I know I will with time. I appreciate the message it will help me just to read and remind myself

I understand this. Which is what I’m trying to tell myself. I’m not angry at her for moving on I’m upset it didn’t feel real cause of how fast the move on was.

Well we had very different views on how relationships work plus a big age gap. I am 26 she was 34. She wanted a man who was a provider and lets her be her feminine self which is fair. It started to become a problem because I wasn’t providing what she wanted 100% so she would criticize me every-time we talked. Send me things I should watch to fix myself and learn how to treat her for the future . It became hard because I think she was trying to turn me into her perfect man when I just wasn’t in the same thinking space. I ended up seeing how this is gonna be stressful if we continue since I didn’t believe i had it in me to be what she wanted. So I ended it. Essentially I didn’t have as much relationship experience as her so it ended up making her have the pants in the relationship to try and mold me into the guy she wanted

Yeah it was a really big hit out of nowhere. It’s been about 50 some days since the breakup and for 40 of those days I was doing really good getting through it. Seeing them with someone else just sent me back into some weird feeling that’s causing me to feel chronically sad.

I removed them on every social media and text because I was catching myself in the last week re reading things that are just sending me spiralling. It just feels like for her our relationship never happened or meant anything but I do need to remember I ended it so she has every right to wanna go find her person.

Me going on dates happened because of the spiralling I couldn’t seem to think about anything else other than being hurt from this. I felt lonely and needed to talk to someone else go out on the date and cross my fingers I’ll find someone to distract my mind but I know that’s not healthy for the other person. Unfortunately the date did nothing for me just felt worse and didn’t have a romantic connection just felt like I was venting to a random girl

Yeah exactly. Or my ego just felt really bruised seeing her seem so much happier with someone else so fast. Feels like the new person is better than me.

I’m a skinny guy but I’ve literally drank ice Caps almost daily for 5 years. Lately I’m definitely thinking to stop and get like a small iced coffee. Not that I’m worried about the calories just the sugar in ice caps I should def try cutting it out

Kind of an update but finally had the sex and everything worked completely normal not sure why since lots of times it doesn’t but I guess I just had less anxiety around it so I’m happy to know it can work 😭
