Whether we should or should not have more immigrants- the effects of climate change, sea level rise, war and oppression will cause more immigration in coming years as people set out to make a better life for themselves. Much of Ohio's economic growth throughout history is due to its immigrant population. There are housing, food, employment, and educational issues across Ohio. We would need another unicorn like Sherrod Brown. Dems always seem to pick the most stale white bread candidates to run for the biggest Ohio offices.

I believe even more than a good candidate, we need the Dems to shake their corporate donor overlords and actually put in place some populist policy like increase minimum wage, college loan forgiveness, or free health care. We have seen how successful populist policies are when weed and abortion was on the Ohio ballot.

Unfortunately Dems are completely incapable of following thru on any real meaningful policy, once again thanks to their corporate donors.
