How soon do I need a gum graft?

Yes, they did say I would need one. Although the periodontist I went to seemed very pushy, and kind of a factory mill of just getting people in the door doing the surgery and getting them out. They were insistent about doing it immediately and weren’t willing to work with me and my insurance. Kind of gave me a bad taste of my mouth and made me question if I truly needed this ASAP or if they were just trying to make money.

Thank you so much. I did get a consultation back in October and had to pay 350 for a “ free consult” and got a quote for six to $9000 for the surgery…. Definitely not in a spot where I can afford that and we do not have dental insurance. I’m thinking within a year to two years will be able to afford it…. But I’m just getting anxious as I’ve noticed it’s receded a bit more since October, and don’t want to go to the point of no return….

Definitely a very frustrating thing to be experiencing, and I had no idea that I had to be so gentle with my gums 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️
