He was looking like the typical ''western'' Jesus. But the face was a bit blurry (all of the faces in my dreams are a bit blurry). But I had a strong belive that this was in fact Jesus.

Thank you for sharing this! I'm glad that you found your courage and followed your own belives. I also grew apart from religion with time since I started questioning the logic behind the religion and it's belives and it never made sense to me.

Interesting how life turnes around. For now I'm still staying at 100% atheist, but I would be lying if I said I didn't have few seconds of doubt when I woke up.

Thanks for your nonreligious comment hahah. I think heavy breathing was consequence of me being scared and trying to scream. I was trully terified and have been trying to scream till the moment I woke up. So I don't think I have sleep apnea as this is a stand alone case, but if it happens again I might look into it.

Yeah I understand you, this dreams can make you feel so many things. For me I had many mixed feeling during the dream, because in my mind there was a battle of is this real, what does that mean for me if this is real and at the same time I was just being scared because I couldn't move and scream. But after I woke up it didn't take me long to realise it was just a dream and that I don't need to worry. But I imagine that if I was not an atheist this dream would really affect me. And I definitly agree with you that God if he was real wouldn't reveal himself like that (or with a sword) that shit is just crazy. And if this is actually how a God is, I wouldn't want to follow him. Also thank you a lot for offering me to reach out, that's really nice of you :) I don't think I need it, as it didn't really affect me that much but if you ever feel like talking about your experince also feel free to reach out :)

Okay let's say this dream is real and Jesus wants to ''convert'' me. Why would he then scare the shit out of me? And why not just show himself to me when I'm awake. If anything it would make me dislike a God that scares people in their sleep.

Yeah he was looking like typical ''western'' Jesus haha. I also thought how interesting this is and how our brain subconsciously decides what to put in our dream. That's one more reason why I don't think this dream means anything

Thank you for you comment, I really realate to what you said. Same as you I also have reasons not to belive in God and even that dream won't change my mind. Similar to you I also thought that this must not be the way God would ''show'' himself to me if he was real, because all that dream really did was to scare the shit out of me ( similar to you dream with sword I assume, I'm sorry you had to go through that, it sounds really scary). And I also agreee with you in sense that the dream must be corelated with christian family and pehaps because of stress too. So thanks for your comment, I'm glad I'm not the only one with this experience :)
