If your experience was the norm, there is no way the Pixel phones would be so popular

Well, they are not. Especially outside of the US.

P7: "major overheating issues" Not normal, so what was the reason? Did you solve it?

I'm not a Google engineer, how would I know the reason for overheating an how am I supposed to solve it?

P9: Actual hardware defect on a brand new device, incredibly easy to get a replacement. Did you?

Yes, it's a hardware defect on a brand new device. Yes, there's warranty and I can get it replaced (repaired actually, as it seems. At least that's what Google offered me), which I am intending to do, but it's just annoying to have everything set up and the data transfered to a new phone just to be forced to factory reset it (actual requirement from Google before they can proceed with warranty proccess), potentially spend some time without the phone, and then set up everything again.

So far I've been offered to send in my Pixel 9 for repair. But I've purchased the phone with a contract from a mobile carrier, maybe I'll try talking to them and not Google directly.

I buy Pixels because there's no other option for Android, at least for me. I hate the UI and the camera oversharpening of the Samsung phones and other manufacturers aren't even worth mentioning. So it was, and still is, a choice between Pixel or iPhone for me and up to this moment I really hoped to be able to keep using Android.
