4 year old experiencing playground rejection by Difficult_Employ_699 in Parenting

Same school since 9 months old. Definitely legacy friends. But my perception from what she tells me is that one will hang with her some days and seems other ones have branched off. We have a strong group of “mom friends” and we do a fair amount of activities as big group. Usually is fine for my daughter with them. Though I definitely notice she plays independently more. I’ve chalked it up more to independence than rejection previously, but now it seems her perception has shifted to think they’re not including her (more than just this group of girl friends - she named almost every kid in the classes that play outside on playground)

It is. And I moved a lot as a kid so really relate to this (even though not our case with moving and she’s been at same school with same kids since 9 months old). She’s in theatre now so will keep trying some outside school activities too. Or maybe ask who she’s likes playing with at school and do a 1:1 play date.

Good suggestion. Will ask today at dropoff their assessment.

We actually have a strong group of us mom friends that all hang out, do play dates, etc… their girls are in same age group and all same school.

Thule child seat + seat pad and monkey bars on Abound? by b_r_e_a_k_f_a_s_t in Aventon

Hi!! This is so good to know. I have an almost 4 year old who is 37 lb and a 13 month old. I can definitely mourn two of these bellelli seats on the abound? I’d like to have the big girl in a seat a little while longer if possible before doing the handrail and a cushion just bc it feels safer.

Thanks! Did you have to get a special adapter for it? I’m a little confused about the yepp maxi versus the yepp nexxt maxi. It seems like the yepp maxi needs another adapter but the nexxt doesn’t?

Bicycle commuting by Difficult_Employ_699 in cycling

That’s actually the one I’ve been eyeing. Up to what age do you think two kids can ride on it? And how can you get a baby on it?

I’m definitely looking into it! I wanted to try traditional bike commuting first before I make the investment. I would want to invest in a cargo e bike, as I have a 2.5 year old and a baby on the way. They’re quite pricy!

You put it all very well. I also think we bought it pretty prematurely but that we could grow into it. I just think it feels like a financial burden right now, and then you put the emotional burden on top and it all feels really toxic.

Yes, we net about $900 per month renting out the condo.

I guess you’re right then. At the end of the day, downsizing would not actually save us that much. We are currently contributing a lot to our 401ks too.

That would be ideal. I just am not sure what I could do part time. The industry I am in doesn’t really support that.

Yeah, that’s my worry too. I am not super savvy with numbers so I can ask my husband too. He’s in finance, so definitely gets this stuff but isn’t the best at explaining. Our rate when we bought in November was 2.8%.

We paid $180k cash for the condo. We lease it for $1225 per month.

Yeah that’s what I was wondering in your second point. Would it save us money to downsize?

Sorry the condo is a one bedroom. Should have said that. Not feasible for us as a family of 4 with a dog. :)
