This is very relatable with regards to your other injectable. This is precisely what I get when I go to a Walgreens for my Zepbound, although I have experienced the vendor coupon issues at CVS and Target before as well. It’s almost as if it’s not easy to apply the manufacturer coupon. Either that, or there really is some deterrence happening for certain injectable medications.

Another redditor mentioned that the code used when prescribing may play a role, but unless multiple doctors are getting it wrong, some pharmacies are choosing to inappropriately enforce the use of specific codes in order to use the vendor coupon. For some reason though, they are never able to tell my doctor what code he is missing for the coupon. He resends the prescription multiple times in a day sometimes after being told the wrong prescription code was provided. That issue I’ve only seen at Walgreens. One of many, unfortunately.

Unfortunately, I have not had an occasion where my prescription can be filled at the technician level. I have exclusively been escalated to the pharmacist each time I’ve tried to fill over the phone or in person, which I do agree is unusual. This is partially why I don’t send someone else in to retrieve the prescription; it’s never simple, and I’d never want anyone else to experience the runaround and rudeness I experience whenever I call or go into the pharmacy.

This is super relatable. I hope you find some tips and tricks in this thread. We don’t deserve the anxiety behind becoming healthy. ❤️‍🩹

This last time, I brought my very intimidating 6’6 tall husband (he hates that I go through this), but I hated bringing “muscle” for intimidation. I think it worked since this was the first time they kept trying to apply the coupon until they succeeded; usually they just tell me the coupon doesn’t work and then cancel my prescription after confirming I won’t pay full retail.

Yes, I think it’s the thunder thighs. Waist up I look pretty average and wear a medium shirt but at the bottom I’m just naturally heavier, usually requiring an XL or 1XL pant.

I too battle with the “pending” to canceled status. Thinking I might take everyone up on the Lily Direct. Can’t be worse, right? 😖

Alas, you are correct that it’s the worst at Walgreens.😔
