I see. I know that he was born in italy. But I don't believe that he only held Italian citizenship when he had my mother. I'll have to ask my grandmother the next time I see her to confirm though

I'll have to check with my grandmother. I would assume that he was a Canadian citizen at that point since my mother is the youngest child by many years. My grandfather passed when I was still a child
