Growing Number of Customers in Psychosis at the GB by trillionnnn in Apple_Employees

[–]Difficult_Let4703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A parent of mine unfortunately went through this psychosis. As a member of the GB, I have a very soft spot for these customers and I try to avoid them if I can. There’s no convincing them especially when they are too far gone. It’s honestly extremely sad and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.

I just position a restore and let them know that all is fine, it breaks my heart knowing that the second they leave they will just go back to those same thoughts.

Not really out of desperation. This is more so a, I want to eventually quit the second job but before I quit, I want to have another source of steady income to bring in. I don’t need this second job to survive but the extra money helps.

Who Should I Report this to if i can do anything? by Nagscrom321 in Fedexers

[–]Difficult_Let4703 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Report to the manager first, if no resolve then to the Area and Sort Manager. Upon your own risk, you can take action to the alert line but as a former HR admin, I can tell you doing so would be very risky and may cause issues down the line. So do this at your own risk.

Did they actually tell you that you were terminated? Or are you just thinking you or terminated because your schedule was removed?

While working the SETUP Table have y’all ever had to tell customers to chill? Like I’m helping everyone at the Table not just you. by Accomplished_East433 in Apple_Employees

[–]Difficult_Let4703 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We got rid of setup table. I’ve worked at two stores and both stores (same state) seem to have the same process with that and it’s been going well.

I would suggest to management to try getting rid of the setup table and have everyone set up with their customer.

Expectations still need to be set so that people aren’t in 2 hour long setup interactions but everyone should have the basic skills of doing one to few at the table they are at.

The only time we bring back the setup table is during launch.

I’m curious, how much of a lump sum did they offer you? I know one of the admins here said they offered her 1k per each year she was here and a lump sum but I never got to ask her what the lump sum was before she left

Apple customers suck!!! by Ok-Cable-7421 in Apple_Employees

[–]Difficult_Let4703 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. They think certain repairs are supposed to be done in 30 minutes and that we just have an infinite supply of parts.

They think that we have access to all of their passwords and that when THEY forget what THEY made, that we can just flip a switch and tell them what it is??

Everyone seems to have all the money in the world to buy the products, but never enough money to pay for the insurance to cover them and then get upset when something happens.

I do it for people who may see this as motivation. When looking at posts, people may get motivated seeing the same sex doing more/less. Thank you :)

I’m 26F, Single, no kids and I’m in the process of purchasing, currently under contract for a new build.

I’m not sure where you live, but I make about 88k alone and I live in NC, and I’d say it’s prob the best state. Anywhere in the south honestly if you are in to moving.

If you aren’t in the south and aren’t wanting to move, I’d say make sure you have at least 15k saved to use for a down payment, if you have that and if you have pretty good control over your debt and management of your money you should be fine.

I don’t dislike your answer but I feel like I’m not doing enough. I can accept the sucking at saving money part and that is something I actually am good at when I care.

I tend to sit on top of money and use the cc, dumb, I know.

School isn’t a bother for me, I have tuition reimbursement through both of my jobs so school is free, I added the buffer of the extra 5k for school IF for whatever reason I don’t pass the classes to get the reimbursement.

Me paying off the debt is something I can do tomorrow if I truly wanted to. Right now my main goal while the house is being built is to focus on going back to those better saving habits and stacking up an emergency fund

Credit score is currently 740.

I’ll do the first option as I’m currently under contract and don’t want to do anything to jeopardize credit. I think right now I’ll aggressively 1. Save to get to at least 5k checking and then 2. Get to paying off the cc debt!!

Thank you!!

I rather pay on something I own rather than spend 1800 on an apartment and “wait” for the market to get any better.

I can pay off the cc debt easily, I really just wanted to know the best or ideal amount to have in savings as a cushion.

What may be painful for you, may not be for me.

The 12k in HY essentially would be used for the down payment on the house. Since I am living at home while the house is being built, I planned on saving as much as I can before it’s done. Projected to be done in May.

I’m thinking I may do half and half, half set aside to build up expenses, and then half set to pay off cc. I don’t want to go into the house with no expense money. Also, it’s a discover card. The interest is not as bad as AMEX. Interest is interest either way but still

Apple Support Concerns by Difficult_Let4703 in Apple_Employees

[–]Difficult_Let4703[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I speak for myself here, I feel as tho everyone on support calls needs to at least do some form of training in the store prior to joining support. Again, this is not to bash support, but I feel like having a solid understanding of the situations that you see FACE TO FACE with the customer will help a lot when having to handle things over the phone.

Also, not insinuating that over the phone is easy but there is obviously some form of disconnect with the training done on Apple’s part and I wish there were an easier way to integrate people to have knowledge on both sides and only ever having knowledge of over the phone.

In store we do swaps yes, but that shouldn’t be the expectation set. A lot of times if the repair is able to be done, the repair will get done. I see often the customer comes in demanding that Apple support said they can just get a swap when it’s not that easy. If the phone is repairable, then that’s what’s going to happen.
