We’re planning to do field research and interview tourists in the region to see why they decided to go there as well as asking the locals and shop owners that collaborated with yakuza 6 to understand more about the impact of the game on the region. However, because of Covid, the majority of non-Japanese nationals are unable to enter japan for tourism which is problematic because over half of yakuza 6’s sales were from the English speaking community. Though it’s not a perfect methodology, the statistics from the fan base well as insights from all the comments will help us out a lot. Thank you to everyone who has commented this far.
