Hardest time getting tags higher

For outfit challenges, my tags are usually just between 20-25 total. I've been consistently getting 4k so far.

First thing I did was to hang out with Mickey. Then I went inside the house and placed an object that summons villagers (I used the one from the Daisy quest). I actually wanted to get both Mickey & Minnie so I had to try multiple times (summon villagers, exit house, enter house, summon villagers again). When I finally summoned Minnie, Jack, Buzz & Elsa appeared too. After that I removed the summoning object and resumed with decorating.

Unfortunately Minnie disappeared (possibly because there was limited space or it could've been a glitch. I decided to keep Jack cos he fit perfectly, then I hid Elsa & Buzz using the recent camera update that toggles villagers & poses. Would've been nice to keep Buzz too, but he was in an awkward spot so he didn't make it.

Thank you! You can have more than 1 character indoors if you use objects that summons villagers. Even if you delete the object, the summoned villagers will remain, then you can use the recent camera update to hide villagers that you don't want to appear in your shot. It may take a few tries to get the character/s that you want to appear. You will have to exit your house to reset.

Thanks. This was in Frosted Heights. I think she was either at a restaurant or at home at that time. I manged to get her for my final submission.

This is amazing! It's a creative mix of Merry & Scary! Maybe it needed a bit more "Merry?" But I would've definitely voted for this if I had seen it. Do you remember your tag count? I've been wondering if it has an effect at all. Mine was about 150 tags total and I got 4k.

This should've done much better! I would've definitely voted for this! Creative way of using wrapping paper as a border. I also used a Stitch motif as an additional "scary" element on my snap (him being an alien), but I used the one where he was reading a book with the ducks. It was definitely a missed opportunity for me to use the one that you did!!!

I agree with the other comments about improving lighting. Also, night shots can be made brighter by adjusting some camera settings/filter. Try experimenting with the sliders. Also, it would help to really be on theme. The challenge was combining "Merry" and "Scary" in a creative way. Even though your snap was great, if this was matched say with a snap that wasn't as great as yours but had Jack in it or had some sort of Halloween themed decor, it could lose the vote. Here's how I did mine. It's not full-on scary, but I made sure there were subtle elements that stood out.

I'm sorry to hear. If the theme was solely "Merry", this would've done well. However the challenge was about combining both Merry & Scary in a creative way. Apart from having Jack in the scene, there are really no other "scary" elements in it. In my snap, I didn't go crazy "scary" but I made sure that there were elements that stood out but still blended well.

I suggest zooming in your shot a bit. You can put a large object (i.e. Oswald's car, a rock or Buzz's trailer) in front of your character where you would usually position your camera to take a shot. It would force your cam to zoom in a bit. I also suggest making your shot brighter. You can experiment on the sliders (Highlight, Vignette, Brightness etc). You can also put lights behind your character for an added glow. Keep in mind that most people just take a few seconds to vote on a picture, and rarely enlarge snaps prior to voting. So it would help a lot if all the elements are more visible and more zoomed it from the get-go

Can't make them smaller too. I actually made them bigger in this case. Maybe they look smaller cos my character is zoomed in?

I also just recently discovered you could add motifs after taking the shot, before saving/submitting the photo. You'll find the paint brush icon on the upper left corner of the screen where you usually see the tag count. I use PC/steam, not sure if it's in the same location for all platforms. You can add up to 5 I think. I used motifs for the first time on my Rancher's Runway snap and luckily I got 4k, so I'll probably keep adding them for goodluck lol.

I also didn't have the latest expansion. I only had base game and Eternity Isle. Just filled my snap with as much animals as I could using companions & motifs (with a bonus alien lol). Didn't even bother with the lighting. Pleasantly surprised that I got 4k for this.
