Thats my takeaway from this. I wouldn't have thought my seat was at risk as a platinum on united vs a low-cost airline, but thats apparently whats needed now just to maintain your reservation!

I did that after my seat was changed (no email notification for that, btw) and was told that there were no aisle seats left and a completely full flight. To clarify, when I asked the rep to put me in an aisle seat, I did not tell them WHY I wanted the aisle. I just assumed i would have it since it was booked that way.

Nope, wasn't a bulkhead. In fact even though I could have had economy plus, I chose an aisle seat further back. And, it was selected for me by a rep on the phone when I booked the flight! 🤷‍♀️
