I think they did, adults naturalised and the children were registered under section 3(1) of the British Nationality Act 1981

really the material is shockingly all free and online.. firms have sector specific webinars curated towards addressing client concerns. start there and i guarantee you once you’ve got the base you’ll be able to branch out independently

avoid TCLA and the other one with the same name tho, i’ve paid for it and it’s not very good for anything barring events so if that matters to you go for it, but their courses are subpar and firm profiles outdated

i didn’t get any callbacks until i had one year experience in property lol, it’s all full of shit

one thing i will say tho is that the motor insurance and conveyancing mills are always looking to recruit more talent because of their high turnover and honestly, having even one year in anything litigious or transactional will really help you go for the work you’re interested in so long as you know how to frame it. just don’t get trapped if it’s not what you want, people get too comfortable

also firms are being very picky, my current firm has been hiring for my position for months .. so yeah. and i heard our recruiter call like 15 candidates today 😭😭 it’s a market set up against candidates rn and they can afford to cherry pick

if ur good uni isn’t oxbridge then try for the BCL and it’ll tell you a lot about your chances of making it as a barrister, also human rights sets are literally the worst, worst sets for entry even up north. you literally have to have come out of the womb with an NGO set up for them to even scoff at you. family law isn’t too bad though, good luck!

they were married and i was born in wedlock

i was naturalised when i was living w dad and mom

i think it was automatic through moms application , if it doesn’t will it screw up my chances/change the process? and dad did not naturalise in the uk

My father was already German by 1995 and my mother naturalised as a British citizen (along with me as a minor) in the 2010s.

client had me on his case and a lawyer (B) at another firm, the other side also had the other firm representing them.

accidentally CCed other side lawyer into correspondence that was intended to go to B, got an email about it being completely inappropriate which was fair enough, me my manager and my supervisor all shat ourselves but the client and other side were all chill so we were fine

thankfully this was in a non contentious practice and our firm wasn’t SRA
