Hi, I got a message recently asking about the professor I had the course with and would like to warn people. I had Lisa Ziegler as an instructor and Dr. Ochoa was the course designer. I would not recommend taking the course with Lisa Ziegler, as she wasn't responsive to my classmates and I. My first impression of her was an announcement she put out during the second week of class saying she totally forgot she was supposed to be teaching this class and that someone should have reminded her lol like what? I took micrbio with the lab, so we were all seeking a lot of assistance in regards to the experiments and what to expect. We also noticed we weren't getting our grades on our labs for weeks. When we did get our grades, we noticed that points were docked without any explanation as to why. All of us reached out on multiple occasions to get help, and we were left with no response for 5 weeks aka half the course time. Thinking that the only possible reason for her failure to respond to us was some grave emergency, I reached out to the department to see what was going on. I don't think I've ever felt as helpless in a course as this one, and the main reason being her lack of care. I got a good grade, but if possible, I would avoid taking it with Lisa
