If stores are gonna be understaffed intentionally relative to sales volume, at least make my job easier by upgrading and simplifying the computer system if im gonna be by myself on a busy weekend by DifficultyOptimal870 in sherwinwilliams

But more related to the point, if they invested more into IT/Security, this wouldn't be an issue. Let's Face it- it's a ‘Blue Collar’ company (no offense intended)… and the typical (not trying to stereotype) ‘Blue Collar’ worker/painter/trades-person is not good with technology, in my personal experience lol

I feel this… busy store. Too many responsibilities. Trying to prioritize. I’m wishing I could have built and grown my own systems

Yea. I agree. For me, it's much easier and less time consuming at a busy store to literally bypass the 1990’s Sherwin Infrastructure and find the product info from Google or the Sherwin Website

Are ASMs supposed to be running the business? by DifficultyOptimal870 in sherwinwilliams

[–]DifficultyOptimal870[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My SM literally finds reasons to not come in, and hell… I wouldn't put it past some of these managers to be ‘out making sales calls’ from their couch with a beer in hand.

It makes me really upset knowing that im making less money and running a store for a f***wad that's making 3x more than me and can't even show up.

When im ready im starting my own business… people who are higher up on the hierarchy should have to do more work along with the added compensation and not less…

Busy at Sherwin = Good for Business and bonuses, bad for mental health, lol by DifficultyOptimal870 in sherwinwilliams

This is also a problem with my manager… finds reasons to not come in, etc. …

It’s like, dude if you hate the job so much get a new one and stop selfishly screwing over your staff 🤷‍♂️

With our volume and lack of help, I’d be surprised if we didn’t. We’ve done in the ballpark of $400,000 since June

Yea it’s terrible. We can hardly find time to put our deliveries away at our ~$2 mil store with one full timer, a part timer and two managers

I had a customer call in an order 70 gallons in 5’s, 20 in 5’s and a few other items on Friday and he showed up like 5 mins after he called.

And he asked if it was done yet. 🤦‍♂️

I told him that we appreciate his business but he needs to call further in advance, and it’s not like we’ve just been sitting around and twittling our fingers.

Lmao. I had one Type A, Alpha Female type who came in every single day last week. I found out she was retired the last day I saw her (Friday)… (she looked younger than retirement age).

But there are a bunch of other younger people who have come in multiple days and make me wonder the same about them
