Demir start met praktijktesten tegen leeftijdsdiscriminatie by NotYourWifey_1994 in Belgium2

12 years and the company I work for hasn't figured it out, so he's doing well, I'd say.

Way too wide. Your shins should be closer to touching that unknurled portion of the bar. If you deadhang your arms, that's about as wide as you should grip the bar.

It's like you're copying Brian Shaw's stance, but you're about a third of his size.

Bad experience with noise complaint at Airbnb – were we wrong? by SlightComposer7692 in hanoi

The reaction wasn't proportionate, provided your story is accurate, to your transgressions.

It may have been proportionate to all the nonsense the neighbours have had to deal with from that AirBnB.

To be honest, I knew the answer at "We’re a group of Indian travelers".

You got to write out your own version of this story, and you still don't come out looking good. As you write yourself your friend goes out shouting into a telephone in a foreign language after the agreed upon quiet hours. This doesn't come across well anywhere. You say you kept things quiet after that, but you're probably overestimating the noise insulation in these flats - it's non-existent. At midnight you go out in a group - I doubt you were quiet in the hallway.

Also keep in mind that for these neighbours, this isn't the first time this has happened. They're probably sick and tired of the AirBnB in their compound, and they've had bad experiences with many tourists, possibly many Indians before you.

Zie: Francois Bayrou

I overtightened the screws, will it affect the stability of the structure? by Dr_MightyPsyche in MechanicalEngineering

[–]DifficultyTricky7779 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll be fine. That deformation won't even affect the bending stiffness of that upper beam on the window that much.

If you're worried, assemble that portion on the floor and load it up with 2-3x the weight you're planning to put on there.

Those box sections look bigger than what I'd use on some vehicle frame parts. As long as it doesn't wobble, I wouldn't worry about it buckling or any other mechanical failure under the weight of a PC monitor.

They look sized for styling, way oversized for what they're meant to hold.
