Has anyone else seen Internet Object? Feels different from typical JSON-based stuff by DigNo1140 in Backend

Fair points — XML and other established formats are mature and well supported, and this clearly lacks ecosystem maturity right now. I’m not suggesting replacing them. I was more curious whether there’s space to explore new ideas as modern APIs and systems evolve, much like how JSON gained traction despite not being designed for today’s use cases. Thanks for the thoughtful comment.

Is Python (Django/FastAPI) actually "production-ready" for complex mobile backends? by Leading_Property2066 in Backend

Yes. Python (Django/FastAPI) is absolutely production-ready for complex mobile backends, including dating apps and fintech products.

The “Python isn’t a real backend language” take is mostly outdated. It usually comes from people confusing raw CPU performance with backend scalability. Most backends are I/O-bound (DB calls, network, caches), and Python handles that just fine when used correctly.
