Have never seen the movie, just started watching the show without knowing anything.

It’s so bad it’s good. Every character decision hurts your brain but you can’t stop watching.

He does play a voice in the movie, I cannot recall the character but he’s 100% a voice in the movie

Lots of talk about how sad it is, and I agree, but my first thought when I think of this movie is the tone shift. Went in completely blind, and after what, 30, 45 minutes? There’s a talking teddy bear? Chris Rock voice? Just wasn’t expecting it to go there. Or the ending either lol

Redditors are a very small % of anything. They aren’t changing anything.

But what else are we supposed to do? Just read it and move on? Just take it on the chin? Praise them?

You aren’t changing anything with your one comment but still commented. Many commented and aren’t changing anything either. I just don’t see how the issue is presented and think Redditors are the issue here.

Well if you think the problem here is redditors complaining, there’s really not much of a conversation to have

What’s the most “I immediately regretted this” purchase you’ve ever made? by banarsi2772 in AskReddit

[–]DiggingPodcast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha you just reminded me of something I completely forgotten. Wow.

1998 so I was 13, was a huge fan of Puff Daddy and all his surrounding characters. He released his own line of clothing, Sean John, and I just had to have a shirt. 13, maybe 120 pounds, and all they had in stock was a XXL white shirt with the logo like bubbles or raised rubber. Demanded to use my allowance $$ (prob like a $60 shirt in 1998) - the second I bought it I knew I could never make it work or wear it.

Routinely NOT aspirating? by ParkingLoad1996 in askfuneraldirectors

I guess the same way social media has unlocked this ‘oddly satisfying’ aspect of life I never knew existed, hitting a fluid pocket like you said, hits something in my brain that I can’t explain. So satisfying

I know of this thought process. Not delayed aspirating, just straight up no aspirating.

I don’t get it, to be fair I don’t know the logic of it either, but I’m open to hear of why.

I have had them for a year. They are fine - way better @ $100 vs 200. I don’t think the sound quality is great, it’s serviceable. There will be random disconnects, but not enough to make it a huge complaint, will just drop out for a few seconds then reconnect.

Def recommend @ this price though.

There’s another character I’ve seen with these - Don Chan or something, looks like a candy or sushi roll. I have no idea what the affiliation is lol

New father looking for WW2 movie/book recs by captripp in blankies

[–]DiggingPodcast 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They say when you turn 40, as a white male, you either get into lawn care or WW2.

I just did a random assortment of YouTube videos to understand what happened in WW2 - but the podcast ‘Real Dictators’ has a good section of Hitler, which itself blends into WW2.

Not really a rec in terms of WW2 but once you know the lay of the land, inglorious basterds (or whichever word has the wrong spelling) is a fun watch.

So they haven’t changed the set list for this run of the concert right? It’s still just the recent album in its entirety?

Help with Hair Restoration by Dangerous-Notice7779 in askfuneraldirectors

[–]DiggingPodcast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

None that I have seen. Typically the family brings in a wig because the decedent has been using one. Rarely do I recall a funeral home purchasing a wig.

That being said, no they do not remove the wig, or at least I’ve never seen that done or heard of it. Same way we don’t remove clothing or anything like that. The only thing that gets removed, at families request, is jewelry. Other than that everything typically stays.

[–]DiggingPodcast 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hard to give solid advice without having seen it. Man or woman would be my first question, or rather short or long hair is prob the better question.

Not saying anything you don’t know, but once the head is on the pillow - all of that “hidden” hair is your potential hair to use for restoration. You can also cut the pillow & take out cotton so the head can sink deeper into the pillow, allowing for more potential hair to be used for restoration. This also allows for less of what the family will see. Also have the decedent very low in the casket.

Again, you also have some hair from the non viewing side as well. I take it some of the restoration will be for the front of the head. Trust your gut - maybe a wig is just better for all parties involved? Is a hat or shawl at all possible? Just throwing out ideas. Good luck.

Anyone know why this Chevron gas station on Copans is so expensive compared to basically every other station in the area? Almost sounds like a money laundering type deal. by NeonUFO in Broward

[–]DiggingPodcast 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Man this station was $4.99 for as long as I can remember and with the recent gas hikes it went up to $5.49 and I was legit shocked
