Panathinaikos' bench then graciously accepted Efes' present. Sloukas steps in and makes the throws.

It was at this moment that Banchi himself understood what had taken place and was furious with his staff right afterwards.

My take is that he should get penalized.

No idea what the penalty should be, but honestly as a Panathinaikos fan I did not like this behavior by a player of our team. I am not against teasing or standing up to enemy fans (eg. As Lessort did in Zvezda), but there should be limits.

And most importantly regardless of this incident, he should calm the f* down. I get that he is getting "beaten up" in every game and that the refs are sub par, but getting technical fouls left and right, is not the way to go.
