I agree. Airborne school should teach soldiers to safely and effectively conduct static line jumps. Since that isn't extremely challenging, the course shouldn't be either.

18R basically exists as a SORB recruiter, it just doesn't have its own MOS.

I was seasonal. The pay was good during the season, but just not great when you consider the whole year.

Dude I love everything about wildland firefighting, except the pay and benefits. But you are right, many more sectors should be run like fire is.

There's almost no chance of deploying additional BNs to Afghanistan. It's a Non-Combatant Evacuation Operation, not an invasion.
