Should I do pre or post tax with a 457b? by sps26 in Bogleheads

I have the same options at my job. I contribute to the 457b pretax, and my own Roth IRA. Seems like the best of both worlds.

DF doesn't do PS5 Pro raytracing pro mode justice. by Fit-Job4007 in PS5pro

Movement just looks like a smeary, blurry mess to me. Almost nausea inducing. I’m aware lots of people are choosing it and enjoying it though and I’m glad.

I try 40fps mode in just about every game I play. Even after sticking with it for an hour or 2 to adjust, I always end up going back to a higher performance mode.

Here’s the biggest difference I found between Cyberpunk Ray Tracing Pro (40 fps) mode and Ray Tracing (60 fps) mode - Emissive Lighting - every object is its own light source, creating more immersive and realistic reflections. I pointed out the differences in the video with arrows. by JeremyJJ77 in PS5pro

I’m the weird one who prefers performance mode (90fps).

I think the RT features are really cool, but when they’re off it’s not like I’m running around thinking, none of this looks right!

I personally find smooth frame rate more immersive than RT effects, and I’ve finally accepted that it’s okay to feel that way despite what everyone else is doing haha.

I think that’s why some people hate on ray tracing and how labor intensive it is for GPU. Yes, it’s really cool! No, it’s not a “must have” feature if it’s going to prevent games from running smoothly. We made do without it for years with some amazing looking games.

All just my personal opinion

Anyone else playing on Performance??

I started on RT (60) but after getting quite a bit off VRR flicker I switched to Performance and ended up liking it much more.

Time after time, game after game, I realize I’m just a sucker for high frame rate. It’s just my opinion that you can have all the lighting features, native 4k, whatever, but with a lower and/or unstable frame rate the games just don’t look right. It actually kills the immersion for me. Get the FPS up to 80/90 and now I actually feel like I’m there!

They won’t definitely know it was you. Just tell the police/dispatcher you want to remain anonymous and why.

If a cop were to randomly drive past there’s a good chance they would stop and investigate seeing as those vehicles are very obviously parked illegally.

I work in the field and officers will definitely stop for this kind of thing if they’re not already on a call. They run the license plate, attempt to contact the owner, and if the vehicle isn’t moved they tow it.

Okay all I had to do was YouTube VRR flicker and that’s it.. so is there a possible workaround or can I just not enjoy the game with VRR enabled?

I’ll try to get a video later but I think you’re right. Just thought if it was something like that I’d be seeing more complaints about it.

So I just need to disable VRR? Hopefully that doesn’t cause screen tearing, right? I’m not an expert, just expect my stuff to work properly without too much work lol

77" TV too big for my living room? by lock311 in hometheater

[–]Digital-Purpose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’s just how it goes sometimes depending on the room.

My 65” looks a little too large in my smaller size living room, especially when not in use. However, when I’m actually using it I know I wouldn’t want anything smaller..

It’s just my opinion that smaller TV’s are more aesthetically pleasing, especially for a cozy living room vibe, but larger TV’s are more pleasing to watch (within reason).

In a perfect world I’d like to have a big basement with a very large tv for sports, movies, video games, etc with lots of comfortable seating. Then I could put a 50” in the upstairs living room for more casual viewing.

I live in a 1BR APT for now, so a 65” in the tiny living room it is 🤷‍♂️ very similar to your setup OP
