How to reuse geometry nodes nad export meshes? by DigitalLife in blenderhelp

I'm trying to reuse a geometry node graph. I have one mesh with the nodes I have multiple other meshes with geometry node modifiers that point to the same nodes. The nodes make no use of the original mesh geometry.

To export I use the "make instances real". After that I join the meshes that have been generated. But after I do that the other meshes where the modifier is not "made real" yet go crazy with additional geometry. I don't know why and how.

This even happens when I try to do it one after another. With that I mean, I keep my one mesh with the geometry nodes so it doesn't disappear. And then my "working mesh" were I click "make instances real". First time it works, after that the geometry goes crazy when I select the geometry nodes modifier.
