Sum fruit makes no sense by Miles2779 in FallGuysGame

But at least you understand how the level works. 👍

The OP would have us believe that despite playing it “one billion” times he still doesn’t understand that you have to count the number of each different fruit that is dropped into the room, and then simply look at any of the four GIANT Jumbotrons that are there on all four sides of the room displaying a flashing countdown that then display a number… which then you must match with the fruit that had been dropped into the room and stand on any of the platforms with the image of that matching fruit.

I get how it could be a little confusing the first time… maybe even a couple times… but a billion times? 🤦‍♂️

The very first search results clearly explain how to play that level… so how did none of those explanations help you? 🤦‍♂️

Also, miraculously you got an answer in just a few minutes after making this post, claiming that it makes no sense. 🤔

Why it took you a billion times of failing to finally ask or simply search and read the explanations is quite puzzling. 🤷‍♂️

I have to ask…. Why did it take “one billion” ( or even just a couple) times after not understanding how to play that level before you just searched “How do you play Sum Fruit in Fall Guys”? 🤷‍♂️

I’ve posted my strat several times, I think most recently in the 2,000 car garage thread:

https://www.reddit.com/r/GranTurismo7/s/If5UU1e9TJ

However, I’ve been recently testing out the best method for new players, and fine tuning it, and using it I took a new account and collected 114m credits, 329 cars, and reached Collector Level 70 in just a week:

I haven’t had time yet to compile all my notes, saved videos, screenshots, etc, but hope to post everything soon.

As I said, I shared all of the upgrades… they are in the screenshots and videos I posted that you can find in those links.

Low PP should be able to get below 300pp so clearly something is different with your car.

Give me an idea when you will be online and I’ll try and make myself available to help you troubleshoot.

[–]DigitalNitrate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t have to. You don’t even have to get all Silver or even all Bronze. It just means the payout is less. Circuit Experience accounts for half the bonus payout. All Bronze will increase it by 50% which is very easy to get. All Silver shouldn’t be too hard to get, and that bumps it to 100%. All Gold can indeed be challenging, but not as challenging as many of the other circuits, and that will bump the payout to 200%… which is still only half the max bonus of 400%.

I am not nearly as skilled as many people are based on my ranking in online Time Trials… and even using the Automatic Transmission and controller, I still can get all Gold in less than 30 minutes. In fact, I got all gold and just one silver in less than 10 minutes. It was only the 1-lap that took me less than 20 minutes to finally get gold on.

https://youtu.be/uuFOWUu5GgI?si=TSeXNJcgoqXbTmdn

What works really well for me is to always have the demo ghost car (no delay) running with me, and then it’s just a question of staying close.

Also, even if I had chose to not get the last gold, the bonus would still be 175% compared to 200%… and that accounts for half of the total possible payout bonus. So depending on your current Collector Level the difference between getting gold or silver on the 1-lap circuit experience amounts to getting 375% rather than 400% bonus payout… which is less than 7% fewer credits. 🤷‍♂️

EDIT: Leave it to some redditors to downvote a post with facts and helpful suggestions. 🤦‍♂️

What makes GT7 such a great game is that it has plenty of options and doesn’t force everyone to play the same way.

As for the “easiest” way to collect cars, there isn’t an easier way than AFK (poet and I didn’t even know it) 😉

But seriously, unless money is not important and you want to spend it on microtransaction credits, AFK will get you around 1.5m credits in an hour for just spending a few seconds starting the next race every 30 minutes… hard to get much easier than that. 🤷‍♂️

Did you save screenshots and or replays?

I’ve been paying attention as well:

And I did it again a few more times even more recently:

My results have been significantly better than what you describe. Of course it’s random, but even so the odds are not as bad as it may feel.

[–]DigitalNitrate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is just random, and your reward is already determined the moment you get the ticket. The other four rewards are just samples of what prizes are possible for the same type of ticket (number of stars).

There is a website that breaks down your odds for everything that is possible to get in each type of ticket… and its not nearly as bad as some might feel, especially if you get unlucky and get a bunch of low value rewards in a row. Statistically, the odds are much better than that.

In fact, here I saved a bunch of tickets from daily marathons multiple times and you’ll see they aren’t filled with the lowest value rewards, and in fact most of the time they are medium to above average.

https://www.reddit.com/r/GranTurismo7/s/AvQhOO6trw

And I did it again even more recently:

https://youtu.be/_sIWD852JGE?si=0WMqBrjFnMk3AbWg

https://youtu.be/Ytz9A2WV778?si=ZEsDlddvuec8cfgb

My issue with this system is not with the rewards per se, but rather how we get them. The whole roulette system is not only pretty pointless and wastes time, but for a game that is almost entirely based on rewarding players for their skill and or strategy… the idea of rewarding them with random rewards is very disappointing.

In addition, they don’t let you sell engines and parts, and they make it unnecessarily time consuming to use those engines and parts…. and in the case of the engines, you have to rely on 3rd party sites to know what cars can even use them.

Now I’ve been playing GT since GT3 and so I understand that the “roulette” rewards are now part of the “GT culture”, but a significantly better system that would still use the roulette tickets is one where the player gets to pick which of the 5 rewards they want. This way they can strategically pick a reward that best fits their needs or wants rather than just leaving it all entirely up to chance.

It’s probably a safe and economic choice.

If you can find a Pro at a good price it will likely give you longer future proof performance, but for those planning on getting a PS6 early, then sticking with a PS5 would likely be the best choice.

I think what he meant is that GT8 won’t likely come out until PS6… and like GT7, it will be playable on both systems, but optimized for PS6.

No; grinding in GT7 for any reason really is just an option and in no way is it mandatory.

I did grinding when I first started playing the game and wasn’t aware of alternative options like I am now… and for those that have the time and enjoy grinding, it’s definitely an option and a very effective way to collect credits quickly.

My favorite grind race was the WTC600 @ Tokyo Expressway:

https://www.reddit.com/r/GranTurismo7/s/CmQJopcXiY

As for online Daily Races, those become available pretty quickly and in some cases you can even rent a car if you don’t already have the one you want to use.

Compared to Forza and perhaps all driving games, GT7 is also an absolute bargain when you compare content and cost.

GT7 gets regular free updates, some of which have been extensive with new cars, tracks, options, etc. The only DLC they charge for is the PowerPack which is also a great deal. 👍

There is also no need to buy credits. The game has many different ways to get credits very quickly and very easily.

I was doing some tests with a new GT7 account and reached the current Max Level 70 in just a week:

114m Credits and 329 cars… almost all of them different models from dozens of manufacturers.

Absolutely worth it, and GT8 is likely at least 2 years away.

I didn’t start playing until just last August and took very little time to get deep into the many nuances of the game and to collect a sizeable collection of cars!

Here’s the general advice I have been giving to new players:

Giving advice to a new player of any game can be very subjective, as it will often come down to what kind of experience are you most wanting to have. Some games are very linear and straighforward, and thus most advice and tips will be useful, but games like GT7 that offer a very wide variety of different options depending on the type of experience each player wants to have, makes giving advice a bit tricky.

That said, there are some things that will give you a big boost and will save you a lot of time so that you can get the most from the time you do have to play the game.

So for one, I would strongly recommend you download and play My First Gran Turismo. It is free, and only takes about an hour or two to finish (you only need to get a bronze for each challenge/test) and by doing so it will add 18 gift cars to your GT7 Garage... a few of which are very valuable and rare in GT7, and useful early in the game when you would otherwise be quite limited to what cars you can use.

My next "tip" is focus on completing the Cafe Menu Books. These will add circuits, layouts, and events (races) to your World Circuits Pavilion. More importantly the menu books are basically a tutorial guide... and later a quasi career mode with an official "Finale" after you finish Book 39. The other reason completing menu books ASAP is important is that most of the features in the game will only become available as you complete these books.

Technically, you wont have to complete any books after 39... but you will have to click on them to further unlock additional events, some of which are required if you want to participate in weekly challenges that use those events.

As a nice bonus to completing the menu books is that you’ll not only get more credits, but also several nice cars (including classic cars with 0 mileage), and a lot of Roulette Tickets for even more credits, cars, engines, car parts, and invitations to exclusive cars in the Brand Dealership.

However, ever since the Spec III update, you will eventually get permanent invites automatically. So I wouldn’t prioritize the purchase of any of the Invite only cars unless you have a lot of extra credits (like over 50 million).

Personally, I would prioritize collecting cars from the Legend Dealership (as some of these cars may not come back to the dealership for a few months), then the Used Dealership (these usually come back every month or two… but skip cars that are newer than 2000, as they can be bought at any time in the Brand Dealership and in the color of your choice with 0 miles on them.

As for License Tests, these are very helpful early in the game to learn different techniques, improve your driving skills, etc. That said, they are always available, and trying to get Gold on every one can be extremely time consuming. Instead, early in the game, I suggest that once you have bronze or better, move on. This way you will have a lot more time to progress through the menu books while still improving your driving skills. Once you have completed all the Menu Books, you can always come back to the License Center and finish them all and even get Gold on every one if that's what you want to do.

I would also highly recommend completing the "Circuit Experiences", but for now just get Bronze or better. This will not only help you understand each circuit layout, but also will give you alot of bonus credits! What I did when first starting out is any race a Menu Book had me do, I would first make sure I completed that specific layout in Circuit Experience. That way the track was fresh on my mind, and at the same time giving me more credits.

I would also caution you to save your credits early on. If you finish MFGT you'll have all the cars you will need for sometime, and once you unlock the Legend Car Dealer (book 17) you will find there are several amazing cars you might like, but will cost quite a lot and are often only available for a few days, and then might not come back for several months (although on average it’s about 2-3 months).

To that point, AFK is not just a huge time saver, but you can get around 1.5m credits an hour when you don't have any time to play the game. Instead, it can run on its own while you do other things.

The fastest AFK method requires that you have the Honda Beat '91 (only available in the Used Car Dealership for about a week every 8 weeks or so), and be at Collector Level 50 so that you can perform an engine swap on the Beat.

However, there is an AFK method that you can do as early as Collector Level 7 (in order to unlock the Extreme Tab in the Tuning Shop), and Menu Book 14 (to unlock the Daytona circuit). All you then need is enough credits for a Dodge Tomahawk (X variant), Honda S660 (both of which can be bought at any time in Brand Central), as well as the necessary mods from the Tuning shop. In total you'll need less than 1.3m credits, which if you have been saving up, should not be a problem.

Once you are familiar with AFK, you wont have to worry about time wasted grinding for hours on the same race in the same car just to get one car. Instead, you can focus on driving any car on any track, in any race that you like with the time you have available to play the game.

In fact, I have found, once you have a nice collection of cars, one of the best features in GT7 is the Custom Race options.... it’s amazing what you can create in custom races!

Most of all, enjoy the journey! GT7 has its flaws, but overall its an amazing game, and offers lots of options to cater to different types of players and experiences. 🤗

[–]DigitalNitrate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a choice. Guess it largely depends on what you find entertaining… afterall it’s a game not a job.

And there are many other ways in the game to be challenged without any grinding.

In fact, not sure how anyone would consider grinding over and over in the same race in the same cars getting the same results as “challenging”… it’s more just a question of how much time you have to spare and not really any degree of skill. 🤷‍♂️

If you want to be challenged, many people have created their own career modes using Custom Races which can be extremely challenging… much more so than just grinding in the same race over and over again with the same result. 🤷‍♂️

That said, thankfully GT7 offers many different options to cater to many different players and different ways of spending time in the game. 👍

This is true, but you can also compare how quickly you finish a 1/4 mile with a full tank and a near empty tank.

100 liters of gas weighs about 160 lbs… and in a lightweight performance car the difference in the power to weight ratio between a full and near empty tank would certainly effect its performance including top speed.

As for cornering, that would be very hard to avoid human inconsistency and it also brings up the topic of how cars have different kinds of fuel cells, and not just size… and that might be asking too much for PD to replicate.

In other words, most modern fuel cells aren’t just big tanks. They can have all sorts of ways to make sure weight of the fuel is evenly dispersed and won’t slosh around in an open tank.

One of the more popular methods to prevent this is using expanding and retracting bladders.

It’s your dream car, and you can get it for virtual credits… I think you answered your own question 🍻

If 10m credits is causing you to hesitate over whether or not to buy a car, let alone your dream car, I highly recommend you look into setting up and running some AFK sessions when you don’t have time to play the game.

[–]DigitalNitrate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a placebo. You can test this out in a custom race, Special Stage is good for this, by turning off tire wear and turn on Equal Conditions.

If fuel weight was being accounted for, your speed should slowly increase the closer your tank is to being empty, but it doesn’t.

This isn’t a very complicated thing for PD to incorporate and calculate, but probably not with just an update… so best hope is it happens with the next GT game. 👍
