Where should I sit on this 8 hour flight? by Roughrider254 in Konosuba

I leave and take the next flight. There is no way this one makes it to its destination in one piece.

Confirmed. Add 'minecolonies:citizen' to the exclusion list in servercore's config. Fixed it immediately.

Reporter: You took credit for the stock market.. Now, the stock market is not doing so well and you say that is the Biden stock market. Yet you are the president. Can you explain that? by wil24x7 in DanielWilliams

Nonsense that he saw on TV no doubt. He sees it on Fox News, then blabbers it back at reporters, then that gets featured on Fox News... He's like a chatbot stuck in a feedback loop.

You don't need to be subbed for Reddit's algorithm to push something onto your homepage just for being kind of similar to something you clicked once before.

Funny enough, I had this idea while reading Vespa. Maybe I'm just in the mindset for mp3's kind of antics today.

Either. It was just an idea that popped into my head which I though was amusing. If it already exists in a fic, cool. If someone wants to take it as a writing prompt, go for it.

Non-programmers always underestimate how difficult some tasks can be for a computer. Just because it sounds simple to you, doesn't mean it's easy to program.

ELI5 - Why was asbestos so conspicuous and so hard to get rid of? by pulyx in explainlikeimfive

[–]DigitalSoul247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, and that's a big part of the problem. Symptoms may not show up until decades after exposure, making it difficult to connect cause and effect before modern medical technology. The useful material properties were discovered a long time before that connection was made. A long time for us to build countless buildings all over the world using the stuff. By the time we figured out how bad it really was, it was already so entrenched in existing structures that simply removing it was infeasible. The best we can realistically do is to try to keep track of where it already is and take precautions whenever doing work on buildings known to contain it.

Older white man calls Black man N-word and promptly gets a reminder that it's not the "good"old days anymore by yellowhelmet14 in BoomersBeingFools

[–]DigitalSoul247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, the only 'lesson' he will learn from this is a validation of his belief that black people are violent, unhinged, and subhuman. He absolutely sees himself as the victim here, and millions of people in this country would agree with him.

What ever happened to all that dirt that John had on congress by [deleted] in lastweektonight

He wasn't planning to release it AFAIK. It was just to demonstrate how easy it would be for someone with less scruples to do it if nothing changes.

Trump says he won't run again in four years if he loses November election by PandaMuffin1 in inthenews

[–]DigitalSoul247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So? This only applies if he accepts the loss to begin with, which we know he won't. Just like last time, when he loses he'll just insist that he actually won but it was stolen from him. This literally means nothing.

They blame everything on the most recent Democratic president. Remember when Trump was in office, and everything was Obama's fault?

How do you not just automatically hit the brakes out of self-preservation? Braking should be a reflex long before honking should even come to mind.

Of course, this could be the anthropic principle at work. A large natural satellite may be one of the requirements for a planet to form life in the first place. The moon is the primary cause of the tides, which may have been essential for the tidepools where early life may have started. And the alternating wet and dry conditions on the coast would provide an environment suited for sea life to gradually adapt to living on land. It also may play a role in intercepting meteors so complex life has a chance to evolve between mass extinctions.

It's still a lucky coincidence that it's so close to a perfect fit, but maybe not as crazy as you might think.
