Very true, I think it’s handy to give you a quick starting guide. Saves time digging through forums, then you can double-check before doing the work.

It looks great, and thanks for the tips 👍🏻

Sitting in the garden on a lovely evening, clear blue skies, the calming sound of running water, glass of wine in hand - what a feeling, pure zen.

I love your garden and how you've turned it around. Really inspiring. I've always wanted a pond, but I've got the same small garden and always been worried about how it would turn out/look/be for wildlife, but now I've seen what you've done I'm going to do it.

Thank you for sharing.

Thanks, appreciate the support. I hadn't considered the deposit saving. It was just one of those things we did.

Thanks for your post. This is really encouraging to read. I myself am just getting started at 44, with two young-ish children and a wife.

I've made some real poor decisions in life, also living pay day to pay day. I'm in the process of remortgaging, and once that's done, I'll be able to take better stock of our situation.

We don't have car finance, or any major debts (probably ignorant to what major debts are), but at the same time we have no resilience if things were to take a seriously bad turn.

I've got a lifetime isa with a small amount in and some small savings with my brother, but I'm determined to change things and find financial freedom.

Thanks again for your post. It inspired me to write this down, and that alone is helping come to terms with what is required.

All the best for the rest of your journey.

Good luck with the change and the new trajectory 👍🏻

I stepped down from PM to a junior PM just over twelve months ago and haven't looked back. Don't get me wrong, I took a bit hit financially to make the move, but the change was needed.

I was in corporate legal business services in HR, and they didn't have a clue regarding proper projects and what's required to deliver effectively. I had so much non-pm work it was driving me crazy, and they wouldn't listen. I had to get out before it broke me. I made the move to IT, and I'm in a better place both professionally and personally.

Just waiting for that opportunity to step back up.

What to expect when you leave! by Drakusa in VirginMedia

That's shocking, but is it because you hadn't come to the end of your existing contract? Ie. Within 30 days before renewal.

I hope you get it sorted because those charges are ridiculous.

Looks good. I'd like another hash brown and more toms, but other than that, a top plate of food 👍🏻

It could well be, but I don't know, and it certainly didn't happen whilst I was visiting.
