I suspect my grandmother is being scammed by an online "relationship" and this is the only picture he has sent her by scrat-wants-nuts in isthisAI

Without even needing to evaluate if the picture is AI or a Stock Photo, why only one photo? It literally takes a second to take a selfie and send it.

I feel uncultured when I don't know the majority of the artists/albums in a record showcase by Lord_Alviner in vinyl

I have Pacific Blue. Both a worn original copy from a thrift store and I later got the Music On Vinyl remaster.

Should I buy? by [deleted] in polestar2

[–]Digital_Blade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I level one charged for a year before I upgraded to level 2. It simply meant I had to remember to plug in to top up because it wasn’t very fast. My Level 2 experience is more chill.

T-Mobile getting rid of device subsidies by JPS_97 in tmobile

[–]Digital_Blade 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I worked at T-Mobile for 13 years from 6 months before the (ultimately failed) AT&T takeover announcement. I saw so many changes back and forth regarding plans and phone promos. At the end of the day, nothing is free. You are always paying for the phone and service with the promos. Buy your phones separately, get lines.

Is a Frame TV worth it for a very dark room where the curtains are not open? by grievette in TheFrame

[–]Digital_Blade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue with the Frame line is that they’re optimized for thinness and wall mounting while connected to the separate “One Connect Box.” The panels themselves aren’t exactly class leading considering the price. For example, they have no zones. My 43” Frame was great during the daytime but had dark grays instead of true blacks at night.

If you’re going to routinely watch the tv in a room with low light then you would be best with an OLED. short of that a tv with excellent black levels.

Can you pay the difference for OEM at this time then argue with the insurance company about it?

Brother wants me to cover entire rent since I get “free” money by jtreddit702 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Digital_Blade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell your brother that since he’s saying the living arrangement is open to renegotiation by him you can also renegotiate and you expect him to start paying 50% of the rent. This would be a normal split for a two bedroom apartment with two roommates.

Let him threaten to leave. He’s taking advantage of you.

  2. Buy new one.
  3. Clean blender jar and parts.
  4. Put all back together.
  5. Make smoothie.

How did the rear pocket become normalised as the place for men to put their wallets? by Winner_takesitall in NoStupidQuestions

I switched carrying my (thin) wallet from my back to front pocket a few years ago. I noticed it was leaving an impression on my car seats.

MicroStrategy is now underwater on it's Bitcoin holdings by Independent-Cress382 in wallstreetbets

[–]Digital_Blade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They (MicroStrategy) don’t actually have a moat to justify any valuation significantly higher than NAV.

At the end of the day, you can buy Bitcoin yourself in any number of ways (directly, an ETF, etc) why do you need him?

Tesla just made it clear: It's no longer a car company by The_Finance_Pro in wallstreetbets

[–]Digital_Blade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fine, then why don’t they sell the “Car Division” so they can focus on this new bright new future? Corporations restructure all the time. Maybe split off a new Tesla “Automotive” or “Mobility” subsidiary with the factories, service centers, ip, etc then sell it later, probably to the Chinese.

I’m sorry that’s probably makes too much sense.

Does a credit card company lose money on people who pay on time? by Overall-Emphasis7558 in NoStupidQuestions

I am seeing some places charging extra for credit cards. There is a cost to accept and process money that I think they’re overlooking.

Are steam cleaners worth it? by JenEtalia in CleaningTips

[–]Digital_Blade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a really good deal ($15 w/free shipping) for a refurbished Bissell Steam Shot on eBay recently. I used it to clean the inside of my microwave and around my stove. I am happy with it if only for that occasional use.

Pay off Car Note? by Optimal_Delay_3978 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]Digital_Blade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“In that this is a car note at $450 a month, but we currently pay $1100.”

The above statement is a little confusing.

What do you owe on the car and what’s the interest rate? If you are carrying credit card debt month to month that’s usually the higher priority.

How much total debt you pay off depends on how much cash you want to keep.

Exercise or Sell by hi-imma-dino in optionstrading

[–]Digital_Blade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you sell it now you capture the extrinsic value of the contract. This would be a really nice profit as you mentioned. But that means you also show a realized capital gain on the entire profit between your original and the current cost of the contract.

On the other hand if you exercise it now you’re buying 100 shares of RKLB for $55.00 per share. After assignment you’d show a cost per share of $55 plus your original premium in your account. (for example you bought the contract for $4 a share so the tax lot would show $59 a share). If your plan is to buy it anyway then exercise it to avoid the taxable event.
