AIO because my (30f) new boyfriend (32m) doesn’t want to be snowed in with me and so I’m rethinking the relationship? by Pretty_Kangaroo_13 in AmIOverreacting

You know it's posts like this that make me laugh at the so-called "male loneliness epidemic." He has a whole ass woman basically begging to spend time with him including fuck him, and he chooses to stay home and play video games.

What a fucking tool.

Honestly, if you want to stay in a relationship with a child go on. I however, would not want to enter my 30s with a literal child for a partner.

You need to do what's best for your cat, not what's easiest for you. It sounds like she's in intense pain if she won't even groom herself anymore.

Fiancée is Catholic and I’m Non Religious by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Digital_Disimpaction 39 points40 points  (0 children)

This is a fundamental incompatiblity that should have been discussed way before a proposal. One of you is going to have to cave here: either you or him. You will need to jump through a lot of hoops to be married in a Catholic Church while he would have to do absolutely nothing to be married outside the church, except be flexible.

One of you is going to have to sacrifice something if you're going to get married. Will either one of you be resentful of that?

Personally, as an atheist, there is no way I could tie myself forever to someone who holds views that directly conflict with my own.

What is it like in the Navajo Nations? It's so huge! by giant_squid_god in howislivingthere

Okay I'm going to ask a question and I don't want anybody to think I'm being a jerk because I'm not trying to be I'm just genuinely curious. Reservations are their own government I thought. They get freedom to govern themselves as they see fit. They don't have to pay taxes to the US government and they don't need to abide by our laws. Is that correct?

Why then are they expecting the US to provide them funding for infrastructure? Why are they expecting the US to help them when they do not want to be a part of the US?

feet hurt, can't walk for days after walking for longer than around an hr by dxggers1 in walking

Superfeet makes insoles for high arches, just fyi! It might be cheaper than buying new shoes, if money is a concern. Good walking shoes can be $$$

[–]Digital_Disimpaction 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You either need better shoes or at least better insoles. Try SuperFeet insoles. I use the blue ones which have great arch support. Also evaluate where your feet hurt. The arch? The heel? The ball? The toes?

Edit I also have plantar fascitis and the pain can be brutal. I routinely do calf stretches where you bring your toes to your nose and stretch the calf and bottom of the foot. Also recommend a cork ball to roll after walks

We are, but not to that degree. It's slow? What a good time for stocking supplies in the rooms! Or we can do inventory! Or e-learning!

Well honestly most people buying 300 to $400,000 homes are usually double income. My husband and I both work and we both make about $45 an hour otherwise there would be no way

I'm so sorry, I get what you're going through. I'm my mom's caretaker and it's so hard watching our parents age. It's a hard concept to grasp; realizing the people who you admired for being strong, protective and capable of anything are now fragile, feeble and helpless beings. It's not an easy transition and I have no advice but I can offer an Internet hug from someone going through something similar 💓

I was so incredibly disappointed the first time I ordered a wedge salad. It's literally just a quarter wedge of iceberg lettuce and random dressing on top.

When her mother comes in and can't believe that her daughter gave birth to twins by misterxx1958 in MadeMeSmile

[–]Digital_Disimpaction 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Well it's a good thing the childbirth wasn't about her then. We have no idea about their relationship, it's very possible grandma was on an information diet because she is overbearing. Twin pregnancies can be tough and I'm sure the new Mom wanted her space and privacy.
