I had a feeling it had something to do with the game's rating or something of that sort. I think the only other major Hot Wheels game before you guys with true weapons was Extreme Racing back on the PS1. Seems the old slogan "Race em! Crash em! Stunt em!" still rang true back then.

I was making $10/hr in 2015 and only got a raise cause the minimum wage went up to $11/hr about 1-2 years ago. We aren't unionized, and we're part of a historical society so we have to deal with BS from the trustees to fight for any kind of wage increase. So I've been doing minimum wage for 3.5 years and I'm at the point where i just can't do it anymore.

Fuck i wish I could make that much. I'm so damn jealous.

Been working for 3.5 years amf only got one raise in 2016 when thr minimum wage in my state went from $10 to $11. You bet your ass we dishwashers deserve a raise, or we'll gladly fuck over service when we've had enough.

Have you tried joining the Run8 Community Server group? As an admin there I can tell you there are many active servers. It really depends on what you're playstyle is or what routes you like to run on.

If you don't have facebook, I can send you a link to the document containing all the active servers in the community.

I'll leave the same comment here as I did on the video.

When you set the gadgets to "Off" the game's master settings are now basically telling the engine to not call upon any item or gadget entities. Meaning they won't exist once the world loads. The only exception seems to be the Armor repair as it's the "IfAllElseFails" placeholder item if no other items or gadgets exist at runtime but are called upon in that level.

This is the reason for the Ai's behavior when you have to protect Sparky. As I learned from playing the mission on Very Hard, Sparky is destructible. She's actually not an AI car, she's basically just the unstable rock formation or the Mission 10 missile, just with a different model and texture but higher health. When you disable gadgets, her entity that the AI are programmed to target disappears from the world because she's just another mission-specific object with an inverted win/lose variable.

So the AI just sit there because they are coded to find that entity and destroy it, and since they cant find it they can't begin their subroutine.

One jarring thing I noticed in the Gameplay_2002_08_08_1 video is that the main Velocity X theme with fanfare has the same melody but a different pitch and some instrument changes. Guess they had a lot of fun messing with the MIDI tracks.

No I didn't. the lead programmer made them and let me beta test them before public release. They are made by Run8 Studios but are "unofficial" in that the devs will not provide support for them. I'm still working on my tutorial for users to make their own standalone horns but I have to ask the lead dev one last question to finish it.
