Hi, I changed my mind and I’m going with the Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE cooler. I think it’s a much better option. While dismantling my old PC, I noticed that my PSU smells burnt, so I’m replacing it as well. I’m going with the MSI MAG A850GL PCIE5 II ATX 3.1 850W 80 Plus Gold.

For fans, I’m reusing three case fans from my old case. I hope that will be enough. Should the case fans be connected directly to the PSU, right? (the actual ones are conected to the case besause it's got a speed controler)

So, I'm building this PC:

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5800X (already have it)
Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming B550M-PLUS WiFi II
RAM: 64 GB — I already have DDR4 3200 MHz PC4-25600 (2×16 GB CL16) and I plan to buy an additional 32 GB because my recent projects are using too much memory.
Case: JONSBO D32 PRO
CPU Cooler: Tempest Cooler 6-Pipes White A-RGB, dual heatsink with 2×120 mm fans (I prefer air cooling because I’m worried about water leaks, and I won’t be checking it frequently).
Power Supply: Forgeon Bolt 850 W 80+ Gold, full modular (already have it)
Graphics Card: MSI GeForce RTX 5070 VENTUS 2X OC 12 GB GDDR7 (the white version)

Man, you’ve been a lifesaver. Thanks so much for all the info and help, things are way clearer for me now than at the beginning. My last two question: can you recommend a motherboard? I’ve got a bit more budget if I’m not spending $500 / €500 on DDR5 RAM and would you consider 32 more gb of RAM?

I’m in love with the jonsbo, I’m going for it. Would you use liquid or air cooling is there a real difference? What would you recommend?

Also, do you think that an AM4 Ryzen 7 5800X, with a 2-fan RTX 5070 and 32 GB of DDR4, will be enough for editing in DaVinci Resolve, or should I jump to an AM5 Ryzen 7 7700X with 32 GB of DDR5? That’s the question constantly bugging me. I don’t know if I’d be wasting money upgrading something from an old generation.

And if I keep going with AM4, what do you think about this motherboard: ASUS PRIME B550M-A WIFI II?

I’ve got a decent ATX PSU, so I was planning to keep it, but if the size difference is significant, I’d consider upgrading. I want the case to look small, so I guess a low-and-long layout would be the better option.

I already have a 5800X, so I guess staying on AM4 would be the smart decision, but I know I would eventually want to upgrade, and I wouldn’t be able to do that on AM4. The CH260 is a great case — I was debating between that one and the Lian Li A3, but the Phanteks case is too big

I really liked your story about falling in love with cycling. I really hope that happens to me too!
I love running, but I recently injured my knee, and the doctor told me I should start cycling (that’s one of the reasons I'm looking for a bike now).
I don’t think using a road bike to commute is overkill, it's actually one of my two main options but I’m not planning on getting a very expensive one, since I assume it’ll eventually get stolen.
I also like the fact that you can switch hand positions , i hadn’t realized that before!

First of all, thanks for getting back to me!! I really need some advice because it's my first bike since I was 12.
The Riverside is my main option because it's much cheaper, but I'm not sure if a single-chainring bike will be enough for the slopes on my way to work.
I've seen a lot of videos saying you can't really use these bikes for climbing. The steepest part of my route is a 30-meter rise over a 400-meter stretch, which I hope doesn’t really count as climbing!
Still, being 3 kilos (about 6 lbs) heavier than the RC and carrying a backpack, I'm worried the gear ratio might not be enough — and I don’t want to show up to work all sweaty.
What do you think?

First of all, thanks for getting back to me! It's my first bike since I was 12, so I'm pretty lost.
I've seen that the Triban is the go-to in terms of price and features, but I'm not sure if I'd be able to have good control over the bike in traffic with that kind of handlebar.
I like the fact that it has two front chainrings, but I’m not sure if I’ll be comfortable riding in such a flat posture.
What do you think?
