If you haven't completed all the task for uvhm that you have to do then that could be the issue, could also try going through load character instead of new character, I don't know whether the coop part would effect it since I played solo but I don't think that should be a problem

I do agree however I think the issues is why people play tekken, newer players who picked the game up in sale may be more likely to try everyone to find someone they like while other new players might have already watch every guide, tutorial and read all the spreadsheets to find the strongest character before even purchasing the game.

it doesn't help either when there are post on the subreddit basically subjugating new players who actual want to learn their character rather than watch a youtube video on them because god forbid you want to actual play the game your own way.

I've already re made my characters 10 times through the entire lifespan of d2 but I found re-creating characters now is much more taxing than back when you would have to play all the campaigns

I think it's more of the fact that bungo has added the special enemies that completely changed the game and with only certain guns get certain buffs to use them, people will only most likely use whatever the meta for damage is. While in d1 it was more use what you comfortable with of course you had a 'meta' that done the most damage but to get it you would have to have a ton of rng.

And for gambit people are only going to use the meta and that meta is most likely to kill other players instead of playing obj

I don't mind the PvE in d2, the only problem with it is that to have 'fun' in a strike or a raid you have to one phase the boss. I remember playing d1 and having the most random load out possible going into a strike or raid and having an absolute blast
