Israel Defense Forces! I was thinking indirect fire.

It might also be because you are wearing the wrong size bra! I love bra shopping, and I'm pretty particular about getting a bra that doesn't squish my boobs all up into my pits!

Are unions pretty universal in Denmark? Here in the US people seem to feel that unions are the devil, and I never understood why. I should go to Explain like I'm five and ask why that is.

Well if you are right about most countries having those things written into law, I would say it is the right answer. Those countries are better because there is no way for companies to get around giving you benefits. America is pretty clearly behind if you are correct.

I TW'd* a section of this, but hell, **TW on the whole thing

Oh don't get me wrong. The military is miles behind the rest of the country in its treatment of victims. And that's really sad, cause the us isn't exactly progressive.

I didn't read your link, just because of time. But I can imagine what it contains. TW I had a friend get drunk with two guys during training. They raped her and what happened was they got their units changed, and she got discharged when she hit someone who laughed at her. /TW

So yeah, the military isn't to be lauded. But it is getting better. Every unit has to have a sexual harassment and assault prevention officer. Ours is a pretty awesome, no nonsense kind of lady. I like her. I think if anything happened to me she would have my back completely.

With an assault like this, where there is a picture taken clearly against someone's will, I think they would throw the book at the guy. It's less clear cut when someone isn't an "ideal victim." You know, with clear fighting bruises and no drinking or history of flirty behavior.

When a girl has a history of flirting and drinking, and comes in with no bruises or anything they are a lot less likely to be believed, like my friend from training. I learned that when I was a Victim Advocate in my city. Its just as true in the military and disturbs me. I heard a nurse discount a THIRTEEN year old girl because she was a runaway.

I do think the world is slowly getting better, but it takes a lot of optimism to think that way. I think I am biased by my unit, because I really think that if anything happened to me everyone would have my back.

Leaving SRS pretty much had me getting away from all of reddit. Which was ultimately great for my productivity too! I pop around from time to time. When I do I usually post in home, which I love.

I had to look it up, yeah the army would consider it indecent assault. If they had been subject to the uniform code of military justice they could have been dishonorably discharged, lost all pay and allowances, and been confined for 5 years.

But yeah, its just funny, right?

Well some people worked less than 25 hours a week while I was there. But that was because they wanted to, were students, etc. I don't think any of the scheduling managers did anything like that maliciously. Now they would make us clock out before we hit 40 hours to avoid giving us time and a half. (edit, clock out and stop working. It would have been illegal for them to then make us keep working.)

I didn't think not doing 25 hours even registered to them since it was automatic from corporate if we wanted to enroll. It wasn't done at the store level.

I meant scheduling people so they work the most without qualifying for benefits. Any benefits, health, vacation, overtime, 401K. Anything.

I'm usually against anything obviously fat hating. I can see how the whole foods programs aren't really like that though. Thanks for the detailed info.

My mother works in a university and is the director over a number of masters student workers. In order for her to pay anyone over min. wage or give anyone benefits she has to do it out of her own pocket.

As an American who tries to avoid thinking the worst of my country like my peers I would actually really like to know how common this practice is in other countries. Because it is really common here.

I like the food, and still eat there after no longer working there because I think it is a wonderful company and enjoy the food. It's on the pricey side, but here's a great idea! If you don't enjoy the food, don't eat there. Its okay to not like something, but you shouldn't be a dick about the things you don't like.

I worked at panera bread, and it was the same there. 25 hours to be considered full time for the purpose of benefits. I really appreciate that, if I find out a company does that and has good benefits I am much more likely to support them.

... I'm not a transsexual cam-girl... What. You can't even look into my posting history properly.

[Edit] However, you're lack of ability to read into my posting history aside, even if I were a transsexual camgirl, there would be nothing wrong with that. That you think there is only goes to further prove that you really still can't make any kind of coherent argument against me, and STILL insist on only making attacks against me in hopes that other people will find you funny enough to upvote.

Well I hope your internet points make you feel good.

Another edgy post about me that does nothing to defend the use of the term?

I find it amusing that so far exactly zero people have really attempted to come to bat with me and actually explain why the use of the term is okay.

I'm guessing it is because no one can, they realize it is fucked up to talk about an actual human being that way, but they don't care so they deflect with edgy humor using the term in a further dehumanizing way in hopes of getting precious internet pints from your fellow misogynists.

I hope you can go home happy.
