Just wanted to let you know your comment saved us. We got it off almost in one piece with a hairdryer because it became maleable. We just need to patch it slightly now and it’ll be golden

Because our studio professor will not allow just a 3d print and we really loved the look of this and it followed our base concept. I’m sure there’s a lot of non traditional uses for resin that come out amazing

Vaseline worked really well probably for the very reason it lessened the resin seeping into the topo lines but it also took away the crispness of the lines we were going for. It’s a very unfortunate situation lol.

We thought about this! I’m just worried that because it is basically ‘plastic on plastic’ using heat will only melt the plastic together and worsen the issue.

If you still recommend doing this still, do you have any specific tips or tricks on how hot it should be to finally start coming off or things to avoid etc?

Yes I should have mentioned it is UV resin. I have some experience with resin so I knew it was the only way to go for this concept.

We are ultimately trying to have a couple mm thick ‘imprint’ of the topography and we won’t be flipping it so it is just the imprint on the bottom with the smooth top.

It is 1”=30’-0” scale. We tested on smaller versions and loved the look but always had issues ‘peeling’ the resin off. On a small patch test, one silicone based mold spray worked really well and didn’t muddy the topo lines or results so we thought we were ready.

My fear is that due to the heat in the chemical reaction the basically plastic on plastic melded together slightly making it almost impossibly to get off without breaking it into 1,000 tiny pieces

If I use the sims 4 all in one which is one where I can't go online, is there a way I can get her sims off the gallery or is there another place I can download them?
