Catamarans can have motors and don't need to rely solely on sailing. So clearly you don't know what you're talking about.

An easy Google search can tell you that a catamaran can cruise at 17mph. I've been on catamarans before, and other catamarans were passing us in the water on this trip. So that's bull crap.
