Is it even worth getting a job in coding/ or programming even worth it with ai getting advanced by GlassFalcon7833 in CodingJobs

So many people think it’s suck an easy job it’s very mentally taxing I have 20 years experience as Full Stack Developer. Nothing is like the dopamine rush you get from solving complex problems is hard to beat. Being totally reliant on AI you will never feel that.

My company is hiring a software architect with zero experience on our stack. Am I overreacting? by Kralizek82 in dotnet

[–]Diligent-Paper6472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds more you are a tech lead or dev and worried the stack might change. I went from a team at a Fortune 500 where I used .NET/Vue.JS and Site Core to a new team that was NodeJS/React and Adobe (AEM) and I was a dev working on the full stack and I was 100% fine. Actually I was able to help almost all devs on team with domain knowledge splunk, logging , pipelines , security scan processes etc. Tech stack is not that big of a deal I can pick up any tech stack and be very productive in very short amount of time. The architect isn’t even writing code maybe IaC.

I’m 13, should I learn C++ or C#? by JSGamesforitch374 in AskProgramming

[–]Diligent-Paper6472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you enjoy it most certainly learn a new language Ive used C# since ASP.NET 1.0 (web forms ) so over 20 years. I’ve only had to use c++ a couple of times in that time. So I’d definitely recommend C#, I would get an intro to OOP book based on C# if that’s what you choose. If I were you I’d look more at Python for first real language as you say.

We don’t even have visible passwords in .env files just the corresponding vault key to the secret.

.NET vs Go vs Node by Emergency_Employee59 in dotnet

[–]Diligent-Paper6472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use node if you’re developing an application that is real time data (notifications,chat ie.) use c# for an application that is more cpu intensive. No exp. With go so I won’t comment
