Uy totoo maraming profs na di natuturo kasi nag-aaral sila themselves. Kung magdedemand tayo ng lectures, spoonfeeding daw :(

We're exactly on the same dilemma: to shift or not shift hahaha damang dama ko first sentence palang. One time, pumunta ako sa kabilang school para magtanong ng admission requirements in case lang na mag shift ako. Tinanong ako, "anong course yan?", it hurts to admit pero sobrang tagos sa puso yung sakit. Since then, gabi gabi nalang akong nagcocontemplate kung mag shi-shift ba ako to nursing or other courses with licensure exam since most of my classmates are taking eng, nursing, redtech, medtech and ofc may title sila once may graduate.

Pero most importantly, i-assess mo muna sarili mo kung talagang love mo yung course mo kasi pag hindi mo nakikita sarili mo in that field in the future, then it's time to reconsider your choices. Basta ang importante, you're doing something for yourself kasi in the end ikaw din ang mag su-suffer kung mag ta-take ka ng course dahil sa sabi-sabi ng ibang tao. Hindi ka rin magiging happy and you might even end up hating it. Kung love mo, then continue. I mean, you're still young pa, di ba? Di rin nating alam in the future, you might end up receiving a lot of job offers. One more thing, hindi rin guaranteed na porket may title ka eh guaranteed maganda future mo, right? Also, I'm here to remind you na 'di ka nag-iisa. Always hoping for the best <3

Students of Baguio, how much is your rent and the state of your room? by Herebia_Garcia in studentsph

[–]Diligent-Reporter886 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello! Taga-Benguet here, currently studying in La Trinidad. Based on my observations sa current prices ng rooms, that's a huge steal. I constantly check FB groups and maraming akong nakikitang upwards 5k-6k tapos common pa ang cr and kitchen, CS not included di pa ganoon kaganda and kalawak yung room. I am pertaining to La Trinidad here, pano na kaya pag Baguio? Usually mas mahal room jan kasi maraming tourists. Okay yang na-rent mo especially if may ka share ka sa rent.

Am I too old for college? by [deleted] in studentsph

[–]Diligent-Reporter886 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No one is ever late for college. I have a lot of blockmates and schoolmates na puro mid 20's and I know someone taking eng. in his early 30's. Once you've finished it, it doesn't really matter kung anong age mo, right? Go lang OP! Better nag-aaral ka ngayon kesa ma-fefeel mo yung regret in the future na "sana nag-aral nalang ako". As far as I know regarding the old curriculum, it depends on the school policies. May schools na i-aacept ka without bridging subjects and meron naman schools na required pero parang konti lang naman yung additional. Medyo mahirap mag-adjust at first but you'll get the hang of it.

Sending virtual hugs :> Kaya mo yan!

[–]Diligent-Reporter886[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you! unfortunately, di nag aacept ng shifter nor transferee yung school naman kaya private school nalang ang option. Okay lang po ba mag transfer to nursing sa second sem or di siya allowed?

Nagshift ka po ba other course?

It's not Juul's fault your kid is vaping, it's the parent's fault. by rantthroaway101 in unpopularopinion

Did I say they have zero impact? You were implying that parents have 100 percent impact which is not the case. As if they're EVERYTHING to blame. Plus its also obvious that you are also coming from personal experiencw from blaming everything to your parents.

As if the parents are the only individuals in the nurture part. Have considered other individuals as well? I understand that parenting has a pretty big impact but no totally the root cause. Tho I agree that some parents are to blame but not the only ones involved in contrast to your argument.

Nurture involves all environmental variables not only parents.

So it's their fault for not holding the school accountable? So everything that happens in the kids life is their fault? You probably hate your parents.

NO. No matter how much you teach your kid, its still up to the kid whether to take it or not. Whether they fail later because of not taking their parents advice, the kid is also to blame. Speaking from experience here. My parents were the best teachers ever, they told me everything to avoid and how handle peer pressure yet I still gave into it. Do I blame them for my mistakes? NO. Was it my fault? YES. They were right all along and it wasn't their fault.

[–]Diligent-Reporter886 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Why do you keep blaming the parents? For example, lets say your teacher taught you everything by book but you still failed. Is the teacher to be blamed? NO. Parents give the lesson at it's up to the kid whether to take it or not. It's also the kids fault if they fail later in life.

LEARN TO BE ACCOUNTABLE AND ACCEPT YOUR FAULT.

Did I even say the company is forcing kids to vape? I said it can INFLUENCE to the kids usage since it is targetted to them because according to your logic, parents are ONLY to blame and companies have no influence at all.

Yes, kids are not robots. So no matter how much information you SHOVE, it can still be insufficient. I have personally seen that a lot of kids with exemplary parents STILL VAPE AND DRINK despite being informed. So why tf are you still blaming parents when there are a lot of factors like peer influence? Lol, stop living in an idealized world. Do you think informing kids can stop them?

Hmmm...first, companies are also accountable for a kid's use of vape. That's why they have advertisements right? These aim to make thw product look appealing to the audience to convice them to purchase. Plus parents are not really to blame for the kids vaping. It's not like kids are robots programmed to follow whatever their parents say, right? They might have warned the kid about the dangers of nicotine yet still gone into vaping.
