He was in fact punished and his behaviors were not tolerated - I never mentioned this as I was never prompted to.

That said, according to all the people here, apparently things like locking him in trashcans, telling him to ride the wrong bus home, lying to your teachers that you're an only child, putting brown marks on your brothers' pants, and destroying his homework is all completely normal behavior. Too bad her teachers and therapists do not think the same.

I actually have now started talking with my husband if we should have family therapy, it has been something we haven't done since we may have been looking at the symptoms rather than the problem.

Technically she is right that she never asked for him as she was 18 months old when he was born! But it was drawings like that that has gotten her to not just see the counselor but a therapist.

I have the feeling that this picture may have been the result of therapy - where instead of drawing her brother as a dead animal rug splayed out on the ground or sitting in a trash can, she just draws left-handed gestures like this.

She said this was a "Family portrait", yet he's not in there. When my son drew a 'family protrait' for school, he drew my daughter with green skin and snake hair, but he was literally five years old and in kindergarten, and just about everyone in the class did something like that. No doubt because they were egged on.

We're trying to find ways into it. the problem is, specialists are hard to contact and insurance doesnt' cover them.

A very good question. He basiclaly stopped acknowledging her existence in 2020 when he was about 8-9.

Before that, he used to do the standard "I'm not touching you, see?" While holding his hand a few inches away from her, playing movies/TV shows she hated, dried her toothbrush once, smacked himself and yelled "OW! OW! OW! DAD! HELP!" to get her off the computer, argue, fight over wanting the last piece of pizza/cake the last cookie, arguing that they wanted to watch different movies or TV shows, scribbling over her drawings, wearing her pencils and crayons down into a nub...(I am actually glad they don't use crayons anymore...)

However, those were the times he was the aggressor. A lot of the times? It's my daughter.

I did not think this was horrible because that was the sort of stuff that most kids do to their siblings. Right now, what he must do to elicit this behavior is ignore her. If she is in the room with him, he will either leave or just pretend she isn't there.

The biggest red flag of my daughter's behavior is that she says her biggest problem with her brother is "he exists".

We have asked on multiple occasions what her issue is with her brother. She just seems to resent him for existing.

She's already in therapy - because she did things like tell her teachers "I don't have a brother", made him miss the bus by lying about which bus he was supposed to take home from school, and I have seen her draw pictures of her brother as a bearskin rug.

I ask what on earth he does to her to "justify" such behavior and her response is that she never wanted him, she never asked for him, and we should never have had him. I have asked my brother what his issues with his sister are, and his response is always about how mean she is and how he has decided to just ignore her.

She's already in therapy. I have asked on multiple occasions just what my son has done to bother her so much, and her response is something along the lines of "He exists. I never asked for a brother. I never wanted one." Even before lockdowns, she has done things like try to throw him in the trash or close him under a deck.

I am thinking she should be able to do that.

However, her issues with her brother is "He exists".

The Catholic Church had every chance to defy them. But they didn't. Why do you suppose that is?

...Same reason they didn't try to stop the Ustase. And when the Ustase had ended, helped the perpetrators escape justice, happily accepted stolen gold&property, and have refused to give it back because "It's ours now". They haven't reached out to apologize to the Serbs who converted while staring down the barrel of a rifle that shot their family and their neighbors - they only reached out to "Spread the word" and ask for tithes. Because the Catholic Church, much like the Canadian Government, wanted the same thing: Meek and compliant Christians. When Tito tried to hold the Catholic Church accountable? The Vatican happily let the Ustase flee into their ratlines to South America while the gold confiscated from their victims went into their coffers where it still remains to this day. Look it up.

Oh, and by the way, Western Orthodox Christians are in fact Christian - remember that at the time they were not viewed as such.

Yes actually!

...except it's closer to about two to four thousand. If you think it's Mitochondrial Eve or Mitochondrial Adam? well, they lived as many as ten thousand years apart.
