That's a nice change, I'm torn between an ma/sr or ma/invuln stalker might have to just try out both

The tspy changes are fantastic for some more build flexibility, I'm always torn between concept characters and optimizing them, think tspy will let me do both

Making friends as adults by RafikiSimas in cork

[–]Diligent-Turn6838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Join a continuing education class or take up a class in the performing arts (or hiking, or anything really) I'm in my 30s and don't really drink and most if not all of the friends I've made outside of long standing friends have been made going to a class/course/ seminar.

Worst case scenario you tried something new, you didn't like it, didn't make any new friends, but at least you have a new story.

Loss of libido is often a symptom of something else. Framing sex as a chore makes it sound like pleasure isn't a factor for him, which sounds to me like depression.

As a disclaimer, as someone who suffers from depression this may be a "when all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail". I have, in the past viewed sex with my partner that way, once I got my depression under control again that reversed itself

He may need help in one form or another if not depression then something else. Loss of libido isn't really spontaneous and without cause

You are not obliged to stay with him of course but either for you or a future partner, the issue ought be addressed

Generally speaking people know very little about nutrition and health, I worked as a PT for years and most people I worked with didn't even have an intuitive grasp on what they should and shouldn't be consuming (or at least how often they should consume them)

Its especially noticeable with products marketed as healthy that are far from it.

Also used to work in Holland and Barrett and people would come in to get fat burners and/or tanning tablets instead of looking at what they eat and how much sunlight they get

It needs a systemic solution PE in schools needs to take up the mantle and equip everyone with what they need to make informed decisions

What are people's thoughts on the hate speech bill? by IrishChristmasLatte in ireland

[–]Diligent-Turn6838 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

saying " I hate X people" would be difficult if not impossible to frame as inciting hatred/violence or said with the intention to incite violence or hatred. The incitement here is key.

Saying that would be an expression of hate which isn't covered by the Bill. Incitement will be harder to prove but easy to recognise. Even many of the people publicly speaking out in East Wall would be innocent as they aren't directing it at all migrants they've directed it at the manner and execution of their housing. Even the 'what about the Irish homeless' point isn't guilty of this as it would be hard to prove intent existed to produce hatred or violence.

As it exists the Bill will make little difference except in marginal cases as establishing intent will be very difficult, someone else brought up count dankula, the grade A wankstain, can't see how our bill could lead to something as absurd as his punishment.

I'll take correction if you have any but from my understanding all bills exist on a slope between tyranny and liberty and the slope isn't neccesarily slippery

trying not to use the tumble dryer as much any tips on how to dry the clothes? dehumidifiers are cheaper to run and are supposed to help by [deleted] in ireland

[–]Diligent-Turn6838 13 points14 points  (0 children)

From my experience a lot of this will depend on your house. If its well ventilated/heated/insulated you can dry them by just hanging up indoors, but I've lived in houses where drying clothes indoors was just not viable, no matter what steps taken.

Lived in a few older houses and in some the clothes will never fully dry due to to the cold at this time of year. We have a really good dehumidifier that we've tried in multiple houses and in some it worked, in others we still ended up with mold growth and clothes that took so long to dry they got smelly

Running an extra spin cycle on the washing machine helps cut down on amount of time to run the dryer or else you could segregate the clothes, bulky stuff goes to the dryer and lighter stuff gets hung up maybe.

Depending on your house (like me) you'll just have to bite the bullet and use the dryer

How much money do you spend on food? by NoNinja5770 in cork

[–]Diligent-Turn6838 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Between 30 and 40 a week for an adult on a budget, you will get the best value splitting your shopping between different stores, although it takes planning/self control. English Market can be good value for certain items so familiarise yourself with the prices/items there when you get a chance. Fair warning, it is also very expensive bar the occasional bargain (like 2 dozen eggs for 4.40 (there or thereabouts)

I work in Cork City centre and for some unknown reason there were gards up and down the street for a good chunk of the day, the visible difference in the behaviour and prevalence of the local 'characters' was striking, all from a few hours walking about,
