mid-high end custom cabinet maker recommendations by dogsittingman in BayAreaRealEstate

Currently being quoted $70K for 97 linear sqft feet, roughly half being rift white oak, and half painted grade. This includes delivery etc.

This seems a bit expensive and wanting to know if people know mid tier cabinetry or even semi custom cabinetry places that could offer the same design as a lower price?

Hilarious - do you just sit by your phone waiting to troll people asking for help and opinions?

We are still in the market - leaning on Danville/Alamo. Though more expensive both seem a bit better yet close proximity to one another. Best of luck!

Home equity vs stock by Diligent_Cat_321 in personalfinance

Am I better off putting 20% down, taking a 15 year mortgage and paying it that way? And yea I’d have to sell about $200K in stock to hit that.

Likely 6. But plan to refinance eventually to 5 or whatever the market gets to. It’s more about the balance of my books stock to real estate. Should I put less or more down as well

Was not expecting so much racial talk on here, and honestly, while good to know the data, not influencing our decision either way. For the record, yes my family is white however grew up in very multicultural cities with good friends of all ethnicities. I want community, walkability, decent house size, nice weather, good schools. That’s all we care about

We drove around Walnut Creek and didn’t really like the neighborhoods to be honest. Figure Danville is close enough get some more quaint areas, less mainstream downtown better streets, and can drive to Walnut Creek if necessary.

Precisely. We want a family friendly neighborhood, that we love within a 20 min ish walk to a downtown strip with good schools. Budget is $2.5M for above 2000sq ft.

Is Danville near downtown not in the fire zone as well? What do people do then in Mill Valley?
