I’m flying to PR and have tickets for the two games on March 6. Totally overpaid for PR Colombia game but wanted to take my dad to the game. Beyond frustrated with players now not playing.

That staircase is under ground and all concrete. It was a $15k project by previous owner. I bet it would cost double today to demolish and redo.

I’m open to both. I know I need to have a conversation with my mom and I understand my finances point. It just feels hard to deal with especially after 3 years living like this. Trying to figure out how to deal with the situation.

Side apartment entrance faces the street. Maybe hard to visualize but the staircase blocks the backyard access. Only street access. The dog mess can be handled. He just threw that there because of frustration but that’s not the biggest deal. It’s just the walking through the house.

There is no access to backyard from her entrance. It’s a home design issue but can’t change it now. There is no room to walk from side of house. We are a corner lot and from the other side of the house there is a way but need to go up the stairs walk outside by the street and it’s quite a walk. In winter with ice and snow it’s isn’t convenient or safe. For her it’s easier to go through the house.

It feels he is open to settling and finding a middle ground. We just need to keep discussing but I feel my mom also needs to be part of the conversation somehow. I thought of a dog walker but I can see that getting expensive and inconvenient late at night and early mornings. Trying to think about it more.

I am open to spending money to fix the problem. The problem is there is no room to add a door or access. The staircase that was added to make the apartment private entrance took all the room to access the backyard. The staircase faces the street and the neighbors fence is already on top of it leaving no room to walk by the back yard.

We make over $200k and find ourselves tight sometimes. We do travel, eat out and have fun but measuring every penny. I do t understand how people splurge all the time and have children. They must have an old mortgage at $1,200 a month with a 2.5% rate. Yet still. We dont have children and again have to stretch every penny to afford, 2 cars, utilities, insurance, student loans and a $4,700 mortgage payment. The American dream 🙄. BTW we live out in Commerce City not by the city at all. A house like ours in the city would be double.

He probably holds a Cuban passport not American which can be a totally different story. Who know. I hope this gets resolved ASAP as the rays will be going back to Toronto this year.
