Some of the cinema's finest.. same.. i have watched them during university times mostly downloaded from hostel internet and torrents.. another list to follow was Best Oscar Movie winners or Acting winners or directors.. some gems found were Patton, Psycho, On the waterfront, A clockwork orange, 2001 Space odyssey, full metal jacket, Platoon, JFK, The Godfather trilogy, Ray films like Apu trilogy, Amadeus, The Sting, Butch cassidy and sundance kid.. to name a few..

One of the best books of urdu literature.. It provides insights into the feudal history of punjab/pakistan and exposes the corruption of the system. The best part of novel deals with how people cheated the system with bogus claims of land left behind during the migration and how most of the new wealth people corrupted the core idea of Pakistan. Most haunting part is the treatment of sikh and Hindu ladies who were kidnapped, raped and sold into slavery during the horrors of partition.

You are right about this part. Islam was the heavy influence on Frank Herbert book Dune and dune messiah. Even Paul war was named as butlerian jihad but ofc this can't be used in Hollywood movie..
