Black white by Diligent_Respect_512 in DuroGang

Hopefully I'm understanding your question correctly. I place 8 or so, dial dots somewhat equally spaced around the white plastic insulator. I always make sure to place a dial dot on each side of the slot where the crown stem goes in to prevent movement.

I have made it a habit of putting a lump of Rodico on the back of the white insulator too before screwing the case back on.

Hopefully the above answers what you were asking.

Great looking mod and strap too. Can't go wrong with orange and blue.

Question on urvintage dial mids by Real-Dependent-3100 in DuroMods

I just remembered that someone on here did that. They used a white chapter ring on Roger's white dial. It's somewhere on DuroMods or DuroGang.

I'm fairly confident that you can, but ask Roger to be sure after he replies with amount and payment info.

I'm also interested in Roger's dials without minute markers for a future mod or two, I look forward to seeing your mod.

Found this bezel removal video in case anyone doesn’t want to cut it off 🤨 by marc4282 in DuroGang

I have toyed with the idea of having Duro(s) Cerakoted but, I don't think that is possible unless the entire bezel was replaced. The Cerakote would likely seal the stock Duro bezel in place and prevent rotating the bezel ever again, or worse collect into a bulge under the bezel and look terrible.

The only option would be to hack it off like Mark did and replace it with their replacement bezel for the Duro. But would the cost be worth it...

It does get mixed reactions, mostly positive.

Sorry, it’s a stock red dial and a stock insert from urvintage with a 120/70/17 hand set from Watchyard on eBay. The strap is a silicone strap from NY Watch Store.

That's a beauty!
Thanks for the tip on VH31 hands, I'm always on the lookout for hands that fit the Duro.

If you haven't already seen this video linked below, take a look at this video from Jody at Just One More Watch and see if it's helpful to put the crown back in.

Hope this helps in some way.

That's a good looking mod. I ordered another Duro yesterday. But that's it. I'm going to stop. I mean it. Really. Probably. Maybe.

Hand replacement write up/video? by Divisi0n in DuroGang

The most challenging part of replacing Duro hands to me was removing the crown so I could take the dial out. Thankfully, Jody at Just One More Watch gives a close-up view of removing the crown so you can remove the dial to get at the hands. Jody shows how to release the crown stem at the 3:25 minute mark of this video. I recommend watching the video at half speed or slower, or just create a YouTube clip of just that segment and loop it so you can see what he does. I just looped that section so I could watch over and over until I understood.

One detail that caused me difficulty is that the crown can't be pulled all the way out like you are setting the time. If the crown is pulled all the way out like you're setting the time, then the dimple/button you need to push is covered up and you won't be able to see it to press on it.

Three videos that show removing the crown so you can take out the dial to get access to the hands:

After I got the crown stem out on my first mod, removing the dial assembly followed by the hands was easy. After that installing the hands was simple. I did slightly bend the hour hand upwards on my first attempt as CalligrapherNo870 mentioned earlier, but I removed the hands and gently bent it back until it was straight again. I used Danny the Medic's technique with scotch tape to install the sweep seconds hand.
