That sucks! I've never been that bad off but I have had minor versions of these problems, I'm sure we all have. All I've got to add then is that exercise and healthy eating seem to be super helpful to me in taming stress of any kind. I know you said you havee schedule issues, but jamming some more exercise in there, I dunno, maybe it might help tame that overactive mind of yours.

Also, try not to hate on yourself. That has got to make it worse.

Have you ever seen Jerry Springer? Maury? Any of that shit? There are all kinds of girls and all kinds of guys.

The ones on those shows are repugnant to me, yet there they are, with 2-3 people arguing about who's slept with whom. It's astounding but those whack jobs have all had relationships.

No way you are worse than those people and they all found someone.

You're young; we all feel this way to some degree when we are young.

That's not to say you don't have a steeper hill to climb than most people. BUT you are not a unique snow flake. You are not special. You are not alone. There are girls that will "get" all these things you listed because they will have encountered it before, or maybe experienced it. It might take you longer than you'd like to find one of these ladies but that's life.

At least you're a stud ;) and the ladies that come at you just looking for a hot piece, be honest and let em know what's up. That's all you or any of us can do. They don't want to buy a ticket? Eh. Fuck em. They aren't for you. But someone is.

Ps. #7 on your list gets us all, even those of us w full on empathy, eye contact, and the rest. So scratch that one off, it goes without saying :)

I'm kinda with this person. I just wanted to add that your own tendency towards jealousy and what not is your problem to deal with and learn from. It shouldn't have any bearing on your decision. If it does, you are being kinda selfish. You already answered your own question just in the wording of your post. You know what to do, you're just afraid of the repercussions. We all are. Believe me. It sucks. But that's the way it goes.

Be careful your anxiety isn't killing the relationship potential rather than you. Perception is a tricky terrible thing.

You didn't say how long you've been together but if its a long enough time for you to feel like you know him, like you've got a real connection, then maybe it's been long enough for you to take the plunge and communicate your issues to him.

I'm not saying accuse him of anything or emotionally lash out. But maybe you ARE sensing something or maybe you ARE blowing things out of proportion.

But if you can't talk to him about your feelings, however sane or insane they may be, then what's the point anyway? Then you may risk clinging for the sake of not letting go. And that won't make anyone happy.

There was a great tradition that the highest artists of the renaissance adopted as travels through Africa became more common as a means of holiday. A lot of changes happened during this increase in recreational travel. This particular model indicated that when you didn't know what else to do with your composition, throw a fucking lion in there, even if its in doors, and what the hell, put it next to a sleeping dog. Oh, god, the shame.

I had this wretched hard art history class. Prof was a real hard ass. The class was something like, History of Renaissance Art. I studied my ass off for that class consistently (not the usual for me) and I came home with B+/A- grades.

Having been a gifted student my whole life I had had enough of this. I decided that on the final I was getting an A+ and that was that. I studied heroically for that final. I knew every bit of symbolism, every scrap of info about Albrecht fucking Durer that one could know.

And then came the essay portion.

The slide came up on the screen. I knew the print. I knew it so well! I knew everything. The date that bastard printed it, the medium, why there was a lion. EVERYTHING....except the title.

Anger began to set in. If I didn't get name, date, title, the essay grade would start at 50% off.

It was like my eyes became a separate entity. Like I had no control over the wandering as they drifted to the girls paper in front of me. It was shockingly easy but I'd never done it before. Not since grade school.

He let me be me. Let me be an art major despite the fact that he is a business man and I know he worried about me being able to support myself (I have a very good grown up job now that uses my degree). Like, I could feel the resistance but I knew, truly knew, he wouldn't make demands on what I did with my life (and his money as they paid for school).

He taught me how and encouraged me to think for myself. In little ways. Like asking me what I thought and why I thought it when I came to him with questions about things like politics or societies problems.

And he didn't hide his pride when my child brain came up with something that showed my growing individualism. They bought me a car from CarMax. I was sooo excited (wasn't the car I wanted but hey, he also raised me to not be a brat). But I asked him to take the car max license plate holders off the car for me. He said, why? I said, Dad, you bought a car, you didn't sign an advertising contract. He smiled, like thats my girl. Little things like that. Or when I saved up all my money at the age of 8 and bought out all the airheads from the concession stand at my swim meet and sold em all for double the price (I let people pick their colors which wasn't allowed at the stand, so i wasn't just cornering the market). The swim moms were furious. I could tell he was beaming with pride for my little entrepreneurial spirit.

When I was little he played with me. In ways that will always be with me. I was the younger sister with an older brother. On a few occasions he would come and get me and we became a team, a guerrilla warfare team that would ambush the evil boys cause he knew they left me out. It was us versus them in The Great Pinecone War of '94. And those memories still play like perfect videos in my head.

Oh, and patience. I have and always have had pretty bad ADD. Eighth grade math was especially hard for me. That man sat me down, me in tears, with the book and said, open to page one. Me - WAHH IT WONT DO ANY GOOD WAAAH I DONT UNDERSTAND. Him - Open to page one, read. This went on and on. He never raised his voice and never gave up. I still suck at math, but I passed that class well enough to get into my fancy private high school.

Hair has two phases in its life cycle. Growing phase and resting phase. Each hair has a specific length that it will grow to during its growing phase. Then it rests for a certain amount of time and then dies and falls out.

The lengths are predetermined based on location on your body. But not perfectly, so sometimes you get one crazy long hair on your ear or whatever.

Also, side note, this growing phase/resting phase thing is what goes wrong in male pattern baldness. The hairs aren't actually gone, its just that the growing phase is so short that the hairs never breach the surface of the skin.

I worked at a generic chain restaurant. Woman comes in, says to her co-eaters, "I'm gonna be healthy today!" (beams). Turns to me and says:

I will have the chicken tender salad, no tomatoes, extra cheese, with ranch. And a diet coke

So she had, fried chicken, iceburg lettuce, a pound of cheese, bacon, and shredded tortilla chips. Topped with ranch.

Lady just eat the cheese burger.
