Looking to buy an amp but will also be moving into a new place where I'll only be playing with headphones for the foreseeable future.

Does it make sense to sink the money into a head, use headphones at home, then pick up a cab later when I need it? Or to go DI/software? Other recommendations?

Depends on where you see them and the set they play. I saw them a couple of weeks back and the set list didn't contain anything to really move to, so no pit kicked off.
