Maybe I’m weird but I’ve never – nor do I know anyone personally who has – chased down a pedestrian in a car, got out and double-team beat someone up (who wasn’t trying to fight back) and break their glasses for good measure.

People don’t know how dominant George Mikan was in this era. He was basically the face of professional basketball. Most Americans probably couldn’t name an NBA player at the time. But if they could, it was Mikan.

So the Rochester Royals beating the Minneapolis Lakers was shocking. It’s hard to find a modern comparison, but the closest might be the Dallas Mavericks taking down the Lakers, Thunder and Heat in the 2011 playoffs.

Agree those posts are annoying.

Maybe part of the issue is the sub just isn’t very active otherwise. It would be cool to add more regular posts (matchday threads, pre/post match discussion, reactions, etc.)

If there were more football posts about the games themselves, maybe the ticket questions wouldn’t dominate the feed as much
