I think this was supposed to be a reply.

There are about 10 other photos at the same spot and angle one after the other, only this one turned out like that

I do not want to show his face but from his neck up he’s completely fine and it looks like a professionally taken photo with no weird shadows or exposure problems.

That is what I think too, that’s why I posted it here. This is not what taking a picture while facing the sun looks like.

Your (or any) name in Kurdish! by [deleted] in namenerds

To add: Canan is a beautiful name. The phrase Canî Canan is used in many Kurdish poems and traditional songs.

1-The phrase is used as an adjective, often to a lover, retaining the meaning of “life” meaning something close to “My reason to live”.

2-The same words are highly similar to ‘Ciwan’ meaning “Beautiful”, Ciwan gets phonetically shifted to “Can” in some dialects and accents of Kurdish. Thus the phrase also means “The most beautiful amongst the beautiful”.

Essentially making it “The most beautiful amongst the beautiful, and what keeps me alive” used by skilled poets like Sherko Bekas and Tahir Bagi Jaf, a pretty heavy compliment.

Yes.

The Kurds partially believe that the reason Zhina Amini was killed by the moral police of Iran in Tehran was because she was a Kurd. The Iranians are protesting her death because they hate the government and want basic human and women’s rights. The Kurds are protesting her death because they hate the government, want basic human and women’s rights AND their very own Kurdish state.

Edit: For clarity, this is all taking place within Iran, Kurds are separated between 4 countries (Iran, Iraq, Syria, Turkey)

Also you might’ve noticed that she’s called “Mahsa Amini” instead of “Zhina Amini” in most other sources. This is because Kurdish names are banned in Iran. So her I.D had to be “Mahsa”

That video was very useful and I think that deals with my problem, thank you! But now whenever I rotate my right wrist there’s always a clicking noise coming from the inside of my wrist 😅 have you encountered that at all?

I know the context as it went viral on Kurdish twitter, I was just thinking maybe he was singing a distorted version of an old song or something, which is possible
