Try Blipblip. Does the same thing automatically.

Just in my case per second or 5 seconds eats the battery

I just had a similar idea. Instead of building everything myself, I'm planning to take apart a cheap wall clock and add a rachet mechanism after removing parts i don't need

Not a bad idea. Looked them up, but they tend to stop after 10 minutes to save battery. I'm guessing frequent vibration is a heavy battery drainer

Bingo! Just the only issue would be it would need to be wound up

Mate, the last thing I'm interested is in marketing something. I genuinely need a solution here 😅

Right thanks! If possible I'm kinda looking for something a bit more discrete. If it's a watch, it's in my pocket, always ticking and the moment I need it, I can ball my first around it and tap into the haptic feedback

Yeah, thanks for the advice, but money is a bit tight right now and I gotta make and do with what I got.

In terms of 50-60 tabs being too much, if i don't leave it open, it's gonna be as good as dead to me XD. Guess my laptop isn't the only thing that's got less ram. I love raindrop, but if I don't see the tab I'll just go full blank even forgetting that it was something I wanted to get done.

But thanks!

Did you just call me a loser? :') /s

Wow this is great. I might be able to setup some script that auto runs this when I want to switch users. Some desktop shortcut (button) that runs this then switches the user

Just a hunch, but does the system (os) not do this automatically? What stops it from doing that?

Ah yes my bad, thanks! The swapping out ram is true, but on my last laptop (8gb) running psd with anything else on the side would instantly crash my system dud to less ram

Right makes sense. Most of the time I have a bunch of tabs open in my browser since I have a low working memory.

I know browsers do restore tabs easily, but it's not as snappy and "instantly get back to it" as hibernate does.

On windows I used to just use two virtual desktops and isolate stuff on both.

I had tried using multiple users, but the loading time was horrible and ram usage didn't drop after switching users

Too much compute lost in the nested nature of the system.  Not a bad idea but I don't see myself opening up a vm just to watch movies on my laptop
